Planet Name ?

What was the name of the Planet that was between Mars and Jupiter ?
It is just a bunch of rocks now, but it's all that 's left of the Planet that was destroyed there 65 million years ago, the same time that all the dinosaurs died.

oh.. im sure the dinasaurs had a name for it.. but there not around to ask. and even if we could.. we probably couldnt pronounce it.. cuz we dont know how to speak dinasaur either..

There is no name for it, it is just called as asteroid belt, probably caused by great jupes gravity.

For the name you should ask the earth or the sun or great jupe which destroyed it.

I read an article years ago, and whoever named all our Planets had a name for the Planet that used to be there.

After 2014, there will be another bunch of rocks just like it, and people from other Worlds will say, that used to be the Planet Earth, before it was hit by a huge asteroid and exploded.

This is the first time im even hearin about a planet in between mars and jupiter and if theyre was it was probably saturn in wrong place.

actually ive just realized how would we even know if theyre was a planet inbetween them if it was 65 million years ago

But if theyre was it was apparently called phaeton but i doubt theyre was one theyre

Well, since most of the planets were named by the Romans...

There was a study done, and there's not really enough material there to have made a planet. It's more likely that it's the rubble left behind from where a planet could have formed, but forces were such it didn't.

1/3 of the mass of the Asteroid belt is in one object called Vesta. It is spherical just like our moon but smaller and made out of mostly water ice. It is one of the best planetoids for a colony in the outer part of the solar system.

If there was a planet there then its mass was transferred to another orbit and became part of one of the other planets. That might be why Jupiter has so many moons.

Thats really interesting but the wiki article says its only 9% the mass of the entire asteroid belt....not 1/3

Just thought I would point that out

Would be interesting to see if we were able to colonise it, even though its considered an asteroid
