13 Aug 2008 The FBI is investigating the death of an Ottawa man in a downtown Denver hotel room from apparent cyanide poisoning. Saleman Adbirahman Dirie, 29, had been dead several days when he was found in a fourth-floor room of the Burnsley Hotel on Monday morning. A container of white powder was found near his body. A hazardous materials team removed the bottle of white powder from Room 408. Authorities are still trying to determine if it's cyanide. The FBI and other governmental agencies, including the Joint Terrorism Task Force, are assisting in the investigation. Hazardous materials assistance has included the Colorado State Patrol and the Colorado National Guard.
