I was awaiting good news from this developement and what we get is that the plants will be built on military sites? WTF!
Is there anyone left that will make something that makes a difference that won't sell out? I mean the man surely deserves to get rich but I'd much rather he sell his process so that some regular joe's can wedge thenselves in on the energy monopolys!

I use to live live on a farm and knew that you could make anything into a combustible material. Heck the moonshiners were making "ethanol" for 100 years or so.I guess if the government can't control it or regulate it,they must make it illegal to do.

The sad thing is the best crop to grow to produce ethanol is hemp.
Did anybody notice this wasn't the Department of Energy sponsoring this it was the Department of Defense.

You bring up an interesting question calcoastseeker.
Was prohibition really started so that we couldn't produce our own fuel?

Hemp? try to grow some of that and see how far you get. I can hear it now "really officer I am growing hemp to make rope and for green energy" ZZZZaaappp!!! as the taser takes you down! LOL

I was hoping that this guys procedure using bacteria thus not using alot of energy just to make a portable fuel (like ethanol) would be just the ticket for smaller producers to crack the big energy moguls hold on us all, but it just isn't going to happen.
