Hi all,

I've been lurking here for a while and joined recently. I took some photos of rainbows the last two weekends here in PA. While sorting photos, I noticed an object that I can't identify. I took 4 photos on 7.27.08, from the same angle in a span of a 20 seconds or so. In two of the shots, the object is there in the same position. I realize the quality may not be good enough to determine what it is, but perhaps some photo experts here could offer their comments?

I'm not sure how to upload the photo since it's fairly large - 5MB. I can email to you if you'd like.

Hi flyingpig33,

Jeff Ritzmann is your man. He's a conspiracy master here. I've supplied the link to his forum here at ATS. From experience, Jeff needs full resolution images to make any kind of determination as to what's on the photo. You could try to get a Mod to contact him as you haven't got enough ATS points to use the U2U facility yet.

Some might say it's a "Rod" (fast moving insect), others may suggest it's a commercial airliner due to it's elongated shape. Do you live near any airports or below a commercial flight path? I'd check those things out first because it may help people work out what you've captured.

Exposure is 1/4 sec, so the object could be a blur. Possibly a bug in close range.

Exposure time is 1/250th sec, not a long exposure of 1/4th sec. I'd like to see the other pictures. There could be several flies, or if the UFO stays more or less at the same place, it could be a hover fly. These flies usually don't hover for long, about one second, then move quickly to another position not far away.

It's probably not a flying pig.

Thanks OP for posting.

This is the same 1600x1200 image. Does tinypic limit the resolution? Any chance of seeing the actual full res version? And the other pictures? Thanks.
