Olympic Fireworks Faked For TV

So it turns out that some of the footage was definitly faked for TV.

"Seeing how it worked out, it was still a bit too bright compared to the actual fireworks," Gao Xiaolong told the newspaper.

"But most of the audience thought it was filmed live - so that was mission accomplished."

This is pretty outragous really.

Ok, because of financial reasons it's likely that the fireworks were faked. But where is the proof?

They faked that poor little girl singing also. The anthem, she was lip syncing. They decided the original girl (the voice) wasn't cute enough.

OK, I'm not saying this was the right action to take by the Chinese..but..so what!

This country is on the international stage and wanted perfection. What's wrong with that?

Music artists lip sync on a regular basis all over the world, especially on live TV because of the pursiut of perfection. It's been going on for decades.

The fireworks CG, if you will, was for the billions of TV fans. So what? I watched it and it was very cool.

If you want to bash China, do it for a good reason like human rights, killing babies as they crown, pollution or for being a socialist country.

But not for this.

We were no diffrent in '96 in Atlanta. We wanted perfection, cleaned up the streets, shipped the bums of to god know where for 10 days and tried to show the world what a great city Atlanta is/was.
