Then all we should be arguing about is why are we not enforce this law equally.

Agreed. I have made that point several times with no rebuttals. I have trouble understanding why we are so hostile towards individuals looking for a better way of life and not toward those responsible to create policy change. I just find the hateful things said toward immigrants in general are misdirected.

I've never posted here before, but this thread stuck me hard. Here is the thing with illegal immegration. It brings down the value of jobs. Most people say,"Well, they do the jobs that most americans don't want to do." OK! but when you have some greedy owner that wants to pay workers less than minimum wage, it brings down the pay for the work thats being done. But thats good for the workers because the US dollar is more than the Paco even in the current state of the economy. So, they do NOT pay taxes, they send the below minimum wage pay back home for a better life. Hmmmm.....Yet, we pay our taxes. If I want home improvement done on my house to raise property value, why would I hire a LICENSED worker to complete the job for me when I can get a corrupt owner to do it for cheaper? The homeless guy you see on the side of the road would love to wash dishes for 6.00 an hour. But, he can't because the Mexicans do it for 5.00. The Homeless guy would love to be a janitor for 6.00 an hour. But he can't because he has a SOCIAL SECURITY CARD, illegals will do it for 5.00. Its not about illegal immegrants. Its not about racism. Its about GREEDY OWNERS bringing down the value of jobs in america.

A lot of people will argue out sourcing is wrong? Do I agree with it? No. But, the companies that do it, PAY TAXES, which illegals do not. I welcome differnt cultures and races. Thats what America was built upon.

You have something against cubans, africans, and other third world countries? Those citizens cant get here so lets build them a bridge to America. Why are mexicans allowed to come here in droves illegally but people from other countries arent?

What makes the mexicans special? How are they different from any other 3rd world countries population who would love to be here? The only difference is they are on the same continent as us and can cross over easily.

Do you think we should provide a means for those half way across the world a way into the Usa illegally too? You know we wanna be fair and all.
All those other people across the world are looking a better life as well lets help all 3+ billion of them out lets be politically correct..

Lets let everyone who wants in come in and let our population go into the billions. Once you are siding with illegal aliens this is what you are supporting. You are saying its ok for mexicans to come here illegally because they can they are connected to our country and no one is stopping them.
So if they can do it and you support that do you support us sending cruise ships over to Africa to pick up all the ethiopians and bringing them here? After all they are humans too and the mexicans are no better than they are.

Get my point?

Also a lot of these illegal immigrants make more than 8 bucks a hour ive known some that make 12-18 bucks a hour in construction here in NC.

All the money they make at least most of it gets shipped back to Mexico.

Also if i was in their position i wouldnt expect to go into another country and not have to learn their language!!!! Get real pal.

You liberal bleeding heart politically correct #$#@ are gonna ruin this country worse that it already is. I dont see any other country allowing illegal immigrants into their country in groves.

Get your head out of your #$# and use a little common sense .

Where do you live? Are you in a community that has been effected by the recent onslaught of illegal immigrants?

Actually I live in one of the Ag capitals of tha nation. With one of the largest hispanic poplulations in the nation. I guess that is why I am sensitive to this issue.

They often have pedophilic tendencies, they do not understand the concept of throwing garbage in the trash rather than on the street, they have trouble working a consistent 40-hour week, they pack into homes with two to four times more occupants than Americans (which drives quality of living but increases the price of rental units, especially for poorer Americans), they tend to deal with illicit drugs and join violent gangs and they simply don't belong here.

My friend, surely you realize the racist nature of these statements. Very sad outlook on your fellow human beings. You need to perspective.

Speaking of the media, I find it especially hilarious that you wrote that the media has an active campaign to "convince us that illegals are our enemies". The reality is the complete opposite to your statement. If it weren't for outspoken private citizens and fringe media groups, no one would be taking the American citizen's side on this issue.

I don't think this is true. A couple of years ago I decided to get rid of my TV. The way I view the world has changed. You start to see how influential that dumb box is. This whole illegal immigration thing started all at once. I noticed it and then happen to catch CNN while visiting my Mother for a week. Story after story was about "illegals". Now the murders that being covered by the media were ones where the accused is an illegal alien. It is blatant.

Im not sure as to the specifics that make you say we don't enforce this law equally. I believe that the law should be enforced regardless of race. If the Canadians were illegaly immigrating here I would say the same thing. I try not to be hostile though, when you have to deal with people calling you a moron and telling you to shut up it does get difficult.

I understand that most illegal immigrants are looking for a better way of life, but not all of them are.... and illegaly entering a country is not how you start. There are other ways, including cleaning up your home country...

Just my 2 cents

There are laws in the U.S. that explain how to be a citizen. Any foreign national can walk into a U.S. embassy anywhere around the world and ask about how to become a U.S. citizen. When you chose to ignore these laws, and come here illegal you thus BREAK THE LAW. It's simple, not very hard to understand.

Wow. You are very passionate about this topic. Listen, it is not me who is allowing people into the Country. It has just gotten very old hearing the hateful things that are said while not making any effort to change policy. I will say again, this is not a difficult problem to fix, if we want it fixed. Do we?

I have taken no shots at your people, I am speaking out about a group of criminals known as illegal immigrants, this groups has no racial boundaries and includes people from all nationalities. It also potentially includes drug cartels, violent offenders, terrorists, and other criminals. The problem lies in the fact that we have no idea who they are, because they are undocumented. I do not appose amesty type policies as long as they are then documented and pay their taxes.

Dude, Illegal aliens have been an issue since the civil rights movement.

(I'm from Texas, a lot of mexicans there. I have have no issue with them, but I have found that a lot of northerners do.)

Illegals did not want to come to a country where blacks and other races were treated unfairly, which is understanderstanble. The thing I dont like is that blacks have fought HARD for equality which has become apart of American history(Blacks have always been apart of american history). Once we get our rights of equality, guess whats happens next? Illegal immigration.

I think what is making people passionate is being called a racist cause they want laws to be followed. Either you let all people in like the mexicans or you enforce the same laws for everyone. Wait wouldnt that make you a racist? I mean to only think its ok for mexicans to come over in the millions but no other ethnicity?? Hmm pot meet kettle.

Agreed, if we replaced every member of the legislative branch we'd have a much better chance of getting a lot of stuff done. The problem is fact the people dont think or act. I write my congressman once a month on the issues that bother me, if more people did this maybe he would listen...

Good catch. What I meant to say is that when we have laws explaining how to arrive here legally that are being subverted when corporate interest try to pass amnesty bills through congress we send a wrong message about following the rules and going through the legitimate process of legalization. The incentive for those that follow the rules is taken away. This is what I mean about the law not being enforced.
