A black flag for white America?

Yeah. The title isnt farce.

Former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke, of Louisiana, said Democrat Obama would be a "visual aid" to the idea that whites have lost control of America.

Duke, once a Democrat who became a Republican in 1988 and served in the Louisiana House of Representatives, posted an essay on his Web site in June titled, "Obama Wins Demo Nomination: A Black Flag for White America."

Obama "will be a clear signal for millions of our people," Duke wrote. "Obama is a visual aid for White Americans who just don't get it yet that we have lost control of our country, and unless we get it back we are heading for complete annihilation as a people."

That sounds like an awfully racist statement coming from someone who claims to be a "former" member of the KKK. He may have rescinded his membership to that racist group but I guess he forgot to leave his hate card behind as well.

The only reason he shed his official title of KKK was for purposes of political office.

He's not doing the republican party any favors by writing this article

I agree with you BH, but statements like this are frightening for a very good reason. If Obama gets POTUS I wonder how many Americans will be watching the news daily, waiting for the headline saying that he's been shot or killed by some podunk racist radical (see yesterday's headline about the guy who was arrested for threatening to assassinate Obama). You just know the stupid KKK will be doing its best to incite hate crimes under the watch of the black president. His security entourage is going to have to be damn good.

why is a guy like this allowed to remain a part of the republican party?

Shouldnt he be tossed aside ?
