You realize you're reporting old news right?

It seems there isn't a lot of news to report at the moment. I'm getting the impression that not a lot can be done, because if the reports of some the Russian actions is true, they've haven't been following the existing cease fire agreement. Its as if Russia has a nice bit of leeway of bending the rules before we'd impose any further actions against them.

Just another thought, Russia has made some pretty significant threats to its other neighbors, Poland & Ukraine. Its been awhile since it was last reported but 20 hrs or so ago, Michael Ware from CNN reported that Russian troops was digging in. Could it be possible they're actually scared to withdrawl? They would be a lot more vulnerable in the process to any sort of counter attack. Just throwing the idea, out there, I really don't know what to think about all this or what to expect.

Russia considers nuclear missiles for Syria, Mediterranean, Baltic

www.debka.com...

If this is true we can thank Bushy and American imperialism. His idea of, when he said, "freedom's on the march!" And he hasn't even left office yet (if he even does). I am surprised how many people are less outraged. We should be in the streets, pissed off and demanding justice! Only we gave no idea what that is anymore.

And more on that.

"It has not started yet. The question of withdrawal is being considered now and the decision will be taken as the situation in the region is stabilised," said a Russian Defence Ministry spokesman, who asked not to be identified.

That seems to coroborate the earlier reports.

From the article:

Russian Baltic and Middle East warships, submarines and long-range bombers may be armed with nuclear warheads, according to Sunday newspapers in Europe.

That is true. Reported earlier in this thread.

is the establishment of big Russian military, naval and air bases in Syria

They already have a big naval base in Syria. They may install more.

the release of advanced weapons systems withheld until now to Iran (the S-300 air-missile defense system)

Credible.

Syria (the nuclear-capable 200 km-range Iskandar surface missile).

In earlier reports, it said that Syria ordered Iskandar surface missile... maybe the order will be done faster.

Russia would thus keep the missiles under its hand and make sure they were not transferred to Iran. At the same time, Syrian crews would be trained in their operation.

That makes sense.

Now let's see if the Syrian president go to Moscow soon... it would be somewhat of a proof that this is happening.

Israel will be in big danger if it's true. The F-22 will be delivered there for sure... We'll probably end up in a nuclear war starting in the middle-east. If Israel strike Syria and kill Russians, it's in the Russian doctrine to strike back and annihilate Israel.

Exactly, it is all posturing, and quickly, for World War 3. It doesn't seem like Bush is behaving like a lame-duck President. And that is a nebulous state of mind to define, lame-duckness. I do not get the sense that he is going anywhere soon, except hell maybe.
