Some (very) rough translations of what the Polish are reporting:

They are reporting via Reuters:

USA have reached an agreement regarding shield and Poland?

Something else about signing a 'preliminary agreement,' too.

And their latest on the war:

Poti and Gori in the hands of Russia, tanks ride into the depths of Georgia.

Two kilometers are concentrated over 100 vehicles of Russian armies from city center Zugdidi, in western Georgia. Earliest reports said about Russian departments (squads) blasting Georgian ship

(tvn24)

I used a simple Polish-English web translator.

Russia and France Will Hold Their Own Naval Exercises without the U.S.

France will not refuse to hold the FRUKUS 2008 international naval exercises, in which Russia will take part, representatives of the Russian Pacific Fleet information service told Interfax on Thursday. At the request of the French Navy, they added, a ship from the Pacific Fleet and the French frigate Vendemiaire will hold separate exercises in the Sea of Japan.

Never trust the French. Im so mad we have bailed the French out so many times for they have screwed us so many times. I think the English had it right in despising the French for so many years.

* Poti, Russian militairy entered the port again and secured the oil terminal
* Senaki, Russians blow up ordenance that was left behind by the Georgian army.
* Zugdidi, reports of 100+ Russian vehicles, including tanks, trucks and apc's

the US has pulled away from the exercise because we have clearly chosen sides. the French must remain in the exercise because, to pull out would not be seen a neutral.

the French must remain neutral to broker a peace deal.

that's all that means.

Georgian correspondent grazed by bullet during report

Georgian Public Broadcast TV said on Thursday that one of its correspondents was injured by a sniper while reporting live from the checkpoint outside the strategic city of Gori.

source & video

Did that look like sniper fire? Hell, it looked more like a stray bullet from somewhere to me.

Looks like I was right to mention the Polish missile shield agreement...

Sky TV: Polish Foreign Ministry says deal on U.S. missile shield to be signed at 19:00 GMT.

The Polish are moving swiftly after the perceived Russian 'threat.'

I wonder what the Russians are going to make of this development.

being unfamiliar with The Ukraine fleet as in comparison to the russian black sea fleet , which one is more powerful, and is Ukraine getting involved because they foresee these Russian actions coming there way if Georgia Falls

What the Poles do is quite stupid. It only makes them a potential target for the Russians, if the push comes to shove (which I hope it never will).

Now we know who to believe, Moscow explicitly lied about its troop movement in key Georgian towns. Gori was occupied all along, the news source below has confirmation from an independent source.

We killed russians in vietnam and Chinese in Korea, why havent we just just faced it off with russia and get it over, we are able to win this fight, why doesnt our government just lay it out for PUtin and tell him get out now or we will put you out, and as far as the french go, we saved there butts more than twice, why are they playing around with russian right now, man that really torches my hide. Just becuase you have nuclear weapons doesnt give you the right to just use your conventional ones on whoever you want because the idea is that russia will use nukes if we counter them with conventional weapons, I say that is just hog wash, counter there troops with our very great ground and air men, and run em out like we did to iraq in Kuwait. If they decide to take it nuclear we have that option as well, but don't let em just run amuck, lets kick there damn butts, and teach that backwards in time country a fricken lesson they have needed since ww2.

crap on all this waiting and watching, deliver the deal, put it down, hammer those idiots, we wouldnt have a problem moving them out, the world wants em out, we dont have to worry about the world on this , the opinion is against what russia has done, lets get the job done and quit worrying about nukes until it needs worrying about, this whole thing is like a story about a weak guy with a gun who bullies his way around a golden gloves boxer because he knows the boxer doesn't want to get shot, well we got bigger and faster and greater guns for that weak guy. LETS GET IT ON...
