Further contradictions regarding the status of Russian forces in Georgia

A top US military official has said Russian troops appear to be preparing to withdraw.

Earlier, US officials reported Kremlin forces were wrecking Georgian military installations as they moved through the country.

Defence secretary Robert Gates said Russian behaviour had "profound implications on security relations" between the two countries in the future.

Today, a Georgian interior ministry spokesman said Russian forces were "destroying" Gori, just 50 miles north-west of the capital, Tbilisi, and laying mines.

Yes, it is interesting, chips. Interesting and sad.

And the entirety of the above contradicts itself from beginning to end. There has to be some piece of information we're missing.

I don't think anyone has been victorious of this conflict. What has been achieved from day 1?

The seperatist areas are futher away from Georgia than ever before.
Tension is so thick you can cut it with a knife.
Russia doesn't trust the US and vice versa.

And lots of lives have been lost, both civilian as militairy personell.

And what was the achievement? That the situation today is worse that that of Thursday last week. So I can't see how anyone can claim victory.

Just my 2 cents, I'm done rambeling now

US won't budge on Georgia: Bush

US President George W. Bush assured Ukraine and Lithuania on Thursday of his ironclad commitment to stand with their fellow former Soviet republic Georgia in its military showdown with Russia.

Bush stressed US "solidarity" with Georgia in conversations with Lithuanian President Valdas Adamkus and Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko, who have denounced Moscow's actions, said White House spokeswoman Dana Perino.

I can't disagree with that at all. The Russians won a military victory, but otherwise, it has been a disaster for them politically and certainly hasn't been 'good' for anyone else in that regard.

Maybe they're just on their back in and the Russians are well clear by now. Hopefully it's nothing else that could spark the nastyness off again.

She said when the bombing started she went into a basement. When she was running into the basement from the bombs she adds that it was Georgian troops who was doing the bombing not the Russians and then she thanks the Russians.

Remember this was on FOX news.

Frankly, things couldn't have been going worse for the Russians, strategically, even before this conflict. Look at it this way -- being surrounded by NATO bases all around the European part of their mainland... this must suck. NATO was effectively re-purposed to keep Russian interests in check (while dimihishing their security) and it was getting too obvious. By doing nothing, they were worse off. By doing something, they have a fighting chance to reverse that.

The Russian army loves its NATO loot

(dpa) - The troopers of Russia's 58th Army, fresh from chasing their US-trained Georgian opponents out of South Ossetia, are just in love with their NATO-issue loot.

"Check out this war trophy," a T-62 tank commander named Viktor proudly pointed out to a Deutsche Presse-Agentur dpa reporter. "A real NATO-standard bayonet!"

I don't necessarily disagree with you, except that I think the Russians have made their predicament even worse and have gained little in the process. All this will serve to do is heighten the resolve of the United States and Eastern Europe to continue opposing them. It may also awaken Western Europe to do the same.

Au contraire, mon ami! Georgia's assent to NATO is all but precluded now (too much liability). That in itself is a major advantage to Russia. Russia gets stations in Ossetia. Putin/Medvedev leadership is solidified to levels unimaginable before. Russia has a better excuse to sell S-300 to Iran (to "ensure regional stability").

Since we're on this topic of 8/8/08, and dissecting the events that took place on that day, let me cast an observation of my own.

I am aware of a simple fact: that "regional conflicts," such as this one have in the past lead to WWI and WWII. Anyone doing any type of critical thinking can see what that denotes. If one were to do a bit more homework they would find that Russia is very good militant buddies with Iran, suppling them advanced missile systems. Now, we know the US has a lot of interest in Georgia, obviously because we "honor their democracy and freedom." Well, we also may note that Georgia sits on top of one of the worlds main oil pipelines. We have found therefore with a little research, a "war footing," as the Bush admin. would call it.

Ok, so I'm pretty sure this means the beginning of what will be possibly called "WWIII." However, given the date of 8/8/08, the simultaneous start of the Chinese Olympics, the STABBING of an Olympic official on the first day, the Russian ties to Iran, the massive media coverage and distortion of all this, the language used by the Bush admin., and the sheer level of correlation between events, I would have to say there are greater things in motion. There is an agenda being fulfilled here, one that is not all too surprising to me, because I'm aware of what the world's elite are capable of.

You could call me a conspiracy theorist, but I seek truth. I have found through the process of truthful and fearless research that we should have never invested trust in the people who told us we need a government and a faith based monetary system. We're a stunted creature, retarded in our progress by wars, technology, and chemical additives. I believe since the beginning, we've been unknowing slaves. I also believe that in 2012, a great deal of change is going to happen, don't know what, but its going to be inside out, and upside down from what it is now. 4 years and counting, we should start to see conflicts, disasters, "breakthroughs," and "advancements," more and more, faster and faster, until 2012. After that, who knows? Spiritual ascension? What about any who survive? It will be the restart of man kind.

I believe the rulers in this world are aware of this too. The difference is, they have no interest in ascension or anything of that nature. They crave power. They crave dominance over masses, which is the oldest and most powerful addiction in all of existence. They would want to have the same choke hold on post 2012 life as they did over the previous history, or at least someone would try to uphold it. My point in correlating this with Russia/Georgia/8/8/08 is: 8/8/08 marks a beginning of the climactic ending in 2012. The world has entered into the gate, and it only goes downhill from here. We will begin to see more "terrorism," wars, and basically a much more restrictive and heavy handed government. They'll kill off more than half the population by the end of their time, so as to more easily manage the remainders.

Most people are just now waking up to the truth about 9/11, and then the truth about everything else comes into light, and word spreads. But in the next four years, the inevitable will become the undeniable, and the truth will manifest itself, for those to see and to hear... to know. We will all realize the depth of the misdirection given to us by our leaders ancient and modern, religious or secular, government or media. We will realize our origin and unlock the mysteries of space and time, reconnecting with the real human being. It will be wonderful for those who are not in the dark and afraid, but horrible for those who are.

Right, in summary: 8/8/08 IS important, but not so much so as that it depicts the larger picture, of which it is only a stepping stone. Each day after is just as important. Each stone however will become much larger as the time draws near. It's gonna get bad before it's better.
