I just watched BBC world, they showed some footage of a soldier with a pistol chasing a cameraman and shooting. He didn't look like he was a Russian regular but more like an SO seperatist who got a bit trigger happy.

Maybe that is what all the confusion was about, the Russians not being able to control those SO seperatists....

As far as I can see Georgian police is in Gori and are talking to the Russians.

Cheers for that, Shark.

The reporter said he was a Russian soldier - but I have no idea.

Mayhem.

Edit: Oh, actually, I think he was a Russian soldier because it took place at one of the Russian military checkpoints...

Zugdidi? Where is that? In all this fighting i havent heard them mention that city before. Foxnews is reporting troops in Gori and a statement by Russia saying the world can forget about Georgia's "territorial integrity". The Ruskies arent going anywhere anytime soon thats for sure.

Sky News has just reported via the AP news agency that Russia is not going to set a date for troop withdrawal from South Ossetia.

Maloy Time and again you have quoted Russian news as saying this is not happening or this IS happening and it seems to me every time you post something about the intentions of the russians that they do the EXACT OPPOSITE of what you state.

There fore I shall look forward to the Russians continuing to occupy Georgia (us Iraq style) and not withdrawing as you have stated.

Keep up the hard work comrade. I am gonna stick with Reuters.

I had an idea something was going on, with some of the truthful reports coming out from the Georgians that bypassed's Saakashvili's usual lies, like yesterday when they reported Russians were not heading for tbilisi , maybe a military coup on the way .

News : Russians Concerned by Cargo's delivered by the US ..

Well you have just proved that you were not monitoring the last 80+ pages of news in this thread. Almost every single page mentioned something about Zugdidi. The town has been in the news on both sides for over two days now.

And no Russian troops are not advancing there. They are withdrawing while Georgian police is taking over.

I have been here since page one and Today is the first I heard of Zugdidi.
Just a little FYI.

WikiTravel Gori warning:

WARNING: The latest reports state that Russia has severed the main east-west highway between Gori and the capital Tbilisi. Further, news rerports have claimed that the Russians have begun widespread looting in the captured city and may possibly (although reports are conflicting) be using Gori as a staging area for an attack upon Tbilisi. Those remaining in the city are at extreme risk. Though a tenuous cease-fire has been declared its observance by both sides, according to reports, remains somewhat dubious. Do not attempt to travel to Gori at this time for any reason, no matter how compelling or necessary. If you decide to disregard this warning, or have been caught behind the Russian lines and are unable to leave, we cannot recommend strongly enough that you review the article on war zone safety.

Why are so many people buying into this invasion bullshat? Honestly, have everyone lost any capability to think for themselves? Have people's instincts taken over their mental capabilities and comprehension skills? CNN and SKY news are selling, and you are buying every bit of it.

Hey Maloy , did you watched on www.1tv.ru the "ODNAKO" with Leontiv ? the last 3 or 4 episodes explaines pretty much about the whole situation of the war .
