Wow, I've never seen a more unprepared reporter in my life.

"n n n the russians d d d dey d d they sunk these ships... wo wo wo one of the ships behind me w w w w was sunk, t t t they sunk the ship b b behind me."

Yes, we get the point, that little boat behind you isn't floating any more.

So what does the Armenians breaking the ceasefire have to do with Russia and Georgia? I'm a little confused and would love for someone to explain it to me.

I think since the wall came down, we expected the Russians to blossom out into the world and grow as a people, this whole show has proven they have wasted the last ten or so years reaching out to none.

This statement if either hypocritical or naive. Russia has gone through a tortureous process of transformation and managed to achieve a level of stability for its people and all in all, good relations with the West. The West actually didn't want Russia to "blossom" into anything, because it apparently wants to plant a NATO base, or a radar station and what not on every foot of Russian border they can get their hand on. In the past 15 years or more, this is the first time Russia acted militarily outside its proper borders, and count how many times the US did that? After that, you have the nerve to advise the Russian people to grow up... Puh-leeze.

By tearing the wall down, it just let there mafia come over to the US

I submit to you that a lot of talented and/or educated people came as well, and if you don't see that, you simply don't know the subject.

Look at CHINA, you can tell they are really really trying to become

...and now you give China the status of beacon of democracy! Jeez, thanks for the chuckle buddy and open your mind already.

Russia just sits and wollers about how it use to be, Mother Russia did this, and that and bla , bla, bla..

You contradict yourself because you just lamented the Russian invasion of Gerogia by its updated military, didn't you? Surely this doesn't count as "sitting and wollering", huh?

All in all, I have no choice but to qualify your post as silly.

Never trust from news report coming from the US: History tell that.... Russia is just protecting people from the genocide, invasion and unproporcional war begun by Georgia against innocent from South Ossetia...and US is making media to fall against Russia

If we were to use maps as any indication, most of the world would be at war.

I have seen maps where Portugal did not exist, and that was no indication of a Spanish occupation.

Sadly, Georgian leadership knew full well the consequences of their actions. They banked on the US/Nato backing them up but the latter did not deliver (at least overtly).

In any case, I want you all to evaluate this situation with a logical mindset. Why in hell would Georgia really do what they did? Maybe Sakashvilli is a raving lunatic but surely the military command/officials knew that US assistance would not be likely. This unwarranted attack is just illogical.

This leads to my conclusion that there is more than meets the eye here. Perhaps it's the US who wants to send a message to Russia via Georgia. It might also be bigger (banking) factions warring against each other. For all you know, it might serve as a diversion to prepare the Iran offensive.

I don't know what's really going on, all I'm saying is this cannot be as black and white as they want you to believe!

By the way, relating to the Armenian cease-fire violation: Every year there is a couple of skirmishes that happen on the border; initiated by both parties. It's kind of like testing the other party to detect possible weakness. Make no mistake, Azerbaijan will strike Armenia the second they believe that can do it. With the current instability in the region they might be tempted to test the waters once more.

If they wanted control over SO, they'd move move forces into strategic positions all over the enclave . They wouldn't launch Katyusha rockets on a town while they slept . Seems the purpose was to provoke the reaction that they got .

Apparently russian soldiers open fire against some portuguese reporters in Georgia. In Lisbon georgians go to the street and ask for the intervention of NATO.

Russia says its incursion into Gori and the surrounding area was a humanitarian mission, which will continue for two more days:

Russian peacekeepers are finishing their humanitarian mission in the Georgian city of Gori and are handing the city over to Georgian police.
The Russian units were stationed in the city to neutralise thousands of heavy weapons, which were abandoned by retreating Georgians.

Local authorities had fled the city, leaving citizens without food.

The Russian military says it's been organising aid for them and maintaining order on the ground to prevent the city from looting.

Russian troops will stay in the region for two more days until the Georgian authorities are capable of taking over.

www.russiatoday.com...

One might speculate that this this new wording by Russia (who previously said that they had no forces in or near Gori) is their way of kicking sand in the face of Bush's assertion that U.S. Army, Air, and Naval forces will begin a humanitarian campaign in Georgia.

Or this could really be all there was to the incursion. It might actually make sense, given the fact that even Georgia itself said that Russia was not headed for Tbilisi, and seemed to know exactly where its forces were going. It might also make sense in light of the reported looting.

As usual with this conflict, we have no way of verifying either possibility and must guess, or better still, refrain from making conclusions until we have more facts.

Meanwhile, at least according to CNN, the U.S. has ruled out the use of force to defend Georgia:

U.S. officials said they warned Saakashvili not to provoke Russia militarily by sending Georgian troops into South Ossetia and they had ruled out any U.S. military action to defend Georgia.

www.cnn.com...
So hopefully fears of a conflict between Russia and the U.S. are unrealistic.

Of course a conflict involving Russia and the U.S. is unrealistic. During the Cold War the U.S. and USSR never used nukes because they never fought each other directly. If there was a direct confrontation, desperation may induce insanity which might lead to a disregard of MAD.

Likewise, a direct confrontation with Russia can escalate so fast; think about it: a few shot down planes here and there, maybe a U.S. carrier later, and before you know it things can become very ugly. Russian leaders have stated repeatedly they will do ANYTHING to prevent Georgia and Ukraine from joining NATO. I don't think they were joking, and thankfully, no one else is crazy enough to try and call Russia's bluff.

Yes some do not understand that everything erupted from that.Is 2000 people dead, over 3000 refuges, and leveled towns a justification for this?
I would say that yes it is.I guess every one expected people geting killed in a masacre with out the main stream media reporting on this like it's no big problem go go USA..home of the free land of the brave blah blah blah who cares about South Osetia and so on.What a bunch of crap.I guess some people count more than others.South Osetians don't count at all.
And now the US administration has the guts to tell some what to do after what happened with the help of their training and supervision on Russia's border.

Does anyone have the original link that reports that Georgia murdered 2,000 South Ossetians that started all of this last Friday?

I don't see how this is going anywhere other than WW3, as US has given food aid to the Georgians and Russia has told them there will be consequences. And in the end this is going exactly where it has been pre-arranged by the bloodlines, to depopulate the world by 80% or more, and to carve up the map of Russia, India and China.
Well I will never be on the side of the Rothschildes or Rockefellers. I don't like the system in China, but the people there are beautiful, and the ugly psycho trolls of the world can go crawl under their reptilian rocks and wait for the people to crush them.

To every cabal out there:
Too many people know your plans, you psycho creeps so back off and disappear right now.
