If you think about it, there isn't any evidence of Russian troops entering Georgia either, the only thing I have seen is images of aeroplanes and helicopters flying, some people wounded and some dead, some houses partially destroyed, etc., nothing is conclusive proof of anything, for what we know we may have been just looking at actors playing their part.

I think that Bush just hopped on this thread and took a few points down and repeated it live on TV. The only new tidbit I picked up was that he said there were 'accurate' reports about the Gori situation and a potential offensive on Tblisi, maybe bombing of the airport?

We are going to all glow before this day ends...

there are numerous pictures and videos of the russians that isn't even up for debate, just none of the damage the georgians supposedly commited

I expected Bush to say nothing informative and he did not surprise me. What a waste of a mouse click...

Anyway, ticker on the bottom of the screen while Bush was speaking said "American efforts to oppose Russia may be underway". What does that mean?

there is about 125 warships of ours , great britan and france headed there way right now

I am currently recording the UN Security Council meeting so if anyone by any chance misses it, it will be posted on youtube within 10 minutes of it finishing.

Do you have proof of 125 ships? I would like to see that. You are getting out of hand with the sensationalism, dial it in a bit and be rational.

WOW....that was too short. nothing in it that was not already stated. the only difference was the offical like statement of things already stated.

i dont like.

it was almost like the official "you have been warned" statment.

my bet is, there are already plans in the works to support georgia openly.

everybody has already discussed the armada that left japan and the content of that armada and where its going

did anyone see earlier on CNN that over 100 US military personnel are in Georgia? They reported that they were in Tiblisi and had to be moved after their quarters was almost hit by a Russian bomb last night. They are now in an undisclosed location within Georgia.

Has the US made any of those usual statements about not travelling to country "X" or that they suggest that they leave country "X"?

they just said on cnn and showed it, people are at our embassies waiting on a convoy to get them out, france as well is on the verge of such an order as well
