BBC say they just got a call and the resident says no Russian troops in Gori. Hard to believe this government sponsored channel (pro US, pro NATO, anti Russia) says that so it may well be true.

The destroyed vehicle is the same on both photos.

I know. The photographer probably stood at the same location while the convoy passed and then snapped the one with the mini van comming after the convoy.

The server is not answering in other ports either, it could be down or too busy.

Not always, that has happened with both servers for which I am the admin.

The internet connection is fine
the server is fine
It is pinging back a good speeds
It is not being swamped

Camera damage or it was taken off line.

This down webcam has really got me worried.


I repeat....ARE THE OTHER CAMERAS IS THE AREA WORKING??????

That makes the conflicting stories about the invasion of Gori make much more sense. It's entirely possible that Georgia fully believed that Gori had been taken when it hadn't. Reuters witnesses and Russia say that they have not taken Gori. A CNN news crew there did say that Georgian forces had retreated rapidly from Gori.

They look like a rough, hard bunch.

Israeli press according to Russian sources has announced that U.S. is sending MILITARY AID to Georgia (supposedly the Israeli newspaper Maariv). It is reported that the military equipment has been arriving since August 9 in Tbilisi. Israel itself has stopped shipments of military equipment to Georgia earlier this month before the fighting started.

My take on this: That is probably the main reason why Russia was bombing air strips near Tbilisi. Russia has to know that this is going on, but is not announcing what it knows.

9 agents of Georgian special forces detained in southern Russia . ( they were caught there .. not transferred there.. Kind of oldish news 2 - 3 hours maybe)
