I don't consider that as a good source.

Edited to explain it better.

That is only a source of old news, and even those do not have any confirmation, Wikipedia does not have any way of confirming the news any more than we have, and as this is an ongoing event and one that draws people to one side or the other the article is locked for unknown users and users with little activity on Wikipedia, but that does not mean that those users are unbiased.

Someone should probably change the title of this thread to reflect its more general news/discussion role.

I just missed something on BBC NEWS about GORI .Did anyone see it .
It look mad with fire and a lot of confusing people eveywhere.
Anyone?

The last on the ground eye witness account I've read is that Gori is abandoned and that there are no Russian forces there. The various news outlets may just be rehashing the original report of Gori being captured, which had only the Georgion interior ministry as its source. I'm not saying an occupation hasn't occured. I'm just saying that we don't know yet.

The only things definitively confirmed thus far as Zugdidi and Saneki. Georgian forces did retreat from Gori, though.

That was one of the reasons I did not posted the live links, now we do not know if the camera is offline or if the server can not serve all requests...

That can mean that the LIVE webcams are not supplying new feeds. That only happens when the camera is physically damaged or put offline and the server keeps displaying the last image it had supplied.

source ( www.cnn.com... )

A U.S. military official told CNN that Russian attacks on Georgia -- including radars and communication systems -- have devastated the country's command and control system to the point where Georgian leaders may not have a clear idea of the situation on the ground.
