This is creepy. I'm a big morrison fan. Some people just have that sparkle about them where you can tell they are touched by something. Jim was an extremely intelligent person early on. His iq in school was measured at 149 (extremely high) and when you add book smarts to extreme creativity and physical beauty you get, well you get Jim Morrison i suppose. I wont blab on about his work his influence and legacy etc. if you dont know that, there are plenty of sources to research.

this video however is a good start:

The whole thing is great but in the last couple minutes Jim makes some interesting predictions.

yea jim was the man,and still is..
i take it you've seen the videos that claim that he still lives,,as a cowboy in the deep south somewhere..
they always say famous people fake there own deaths, but i dont go for that.
i wonder what he would be doing if he was still here?
R.I.P jim,lizard king

Yep i've kept up to date with all the claims that Jim is still alive. the latest one by that rodeo west thing is just pure comedy. the surprising thing to me about that one is how its allowed to continue. Especially with claims that the band members themselves have confirmed it. Jim is gone from this world physically i'm afraid. Interesting how most people that are touched with this kind of genius seem to have to self medicate in dangerous portions just to get along. It's taken some great's.

"did you have a good world when you died? enough to base a movie on?"

Love you Jim.

my response to that is simply this:

If you dont think it takes putting yourself in an alternate state of mind to create the kind of art that people like jim did then take all your favourite albums and burn them. all of those classic artists...really really high. sorry.

Cool interview, thanks for sharing it.

I think Manzarek is much better spoken that Morrison is. And more coherent.

"One person...using a lot of machines." Interesting. I was wondering when this interview was taped. Didn't find out, but I did discover that Morrison died weeks before Who's Next was released (trivial, but interesting to me).

Anyway, yeah, a prescient comment from Morrison.

I'm a fan too, although I hate the word 'fan' it connotes stalking and outlandish behaviour these days.

Thanks for the clip, not seen that one he certainly knew more than he should have.

I recomend reading his poetry, that's where his 'deeper' thoughts lie.

This is the end, Beautiful friend
This is the end, My only friend, the
end
Of our elaborate plans, the end
Of everything that stands, the
end
No safety or surprise, the end
I'll never look into your
eyes...again

Jim...irreplaceable.

Jim Morrison was too itelligent for his own good, like many of the best. It's a pity his mind got so addled though im sure it was in his own quest for sanity.
The drugs don't work so they say but they are sure an interesting path to tread
