Im not sure if this is an option in mozilla or not.

I've looked - im just not sure what to look for.

When i click on a link in one window - it opens it in a new window. thats cool - thats what i want.

BUT

If there's already another window open - and i click on a link in a differetn window - it'll open up the new link in the second window

this is a huge pain in the butt if you're typing out a new post, or playing a game, etc.

It'll ruin whatever you're working on in another window.

I want every link to pop up in its OWN un-used window.

ANy ideas?

Are you using the tab browsing? If so you can open Firefox twice and with the tab browsing it'll open another tab in the same window. Leaving the other alone. I think.

no - its not in tabbed mode, i guess im just too stubborn to try and get used to that idea.

i liked the old "IE" way of how things were done where i could set it up so that every link i opened, came up in a TRULY new blank opened window.

instead of opening up in a preexisting "currently being used" window.

if its not possible - no biggie, ill try that damn tabbed function again

im still fighting that one though

Go to...

"Tools"

"Options"

"Tabs"

Then make sure the "New Pages Should Be Opened In" is checked to "New Window"

See if that helps...

(You should really try "Tabs" I love them...)

I have a problem with ATS/firefox aswell, but only on my laptop.

When I click on a link to open a topic on the board, it opens in the same window, which is normal. But the browsers back button doesnt take me back to the previous page, but reloads the currents page instead. Quite annoying..

This problems only appears on ATS, all other sites work perfectly normal.

Or just right click on the link first and then choose open link in new window.
Instead of just clicking the link.

Hope that helps.

That usually happens when the previous page redirects to the one you are seeing, so going back one page sends you back from where you came.

If that is the case, the history button near the back and forward buttons should show you that there was a page in between the one you came from and the one you are in now.
