Just when I thought I'd heard all I could ever hear about beheadings for awhile, this pops up.

www.newsdaily.com...

These inmates are scheduled to be executed any day now. They're supposed to be isolated, and far away from media's influence. There's no way they're attuned to the 'beheading hype' in the news lately.

Just as all this is happening elsewhere, these killers want to have their heads lopped off rather than be shot because, according to their beliefs, it is more humane.

(I would just like to point out that these men killed 202 people with explosives, and they're opting for what they believe to be an easy way out).

It's not a matter for us whether or not Amrozi is to be executed. Gunfire is one way, another way of doing it is by lethal injection," Adnan said, adding that it could take more than a minute for a convict to bleed to death after being shot.

It's quite naive to think the lights go out immediately after the blade falls, however I say let them have their request - they're all bad ways to die.

With that said, what does this latest beheading hype say about society? Metaphorically speaking, decapitation (the literal separation of mind and body) really encapsulates the vibe I'm getting from around the world. People are losing their minds more and more. I know I've felt a little loopy lately, and there have been many threads regarding many ideas as to why we all feel like someone or some-thing other than ourselves.

Are the latest horrific news stories a manifestation of something deeper permeating through the global consciousness? If there is really something going on, wouldn't the individuals closest to a tipping point pop first (like those first kernels of corn to pop when microwaving popcorn)? If that's the case, the majority of the kernels in the popcorn bag usually pop, however there are always a few stubborn ones in the bottom that remain.

I think we all need to focus on not popping if there's something larger here affecting our minds.

People who kills for the sake of killing or religeon don't deserve to have 'human rights' or have their last requests granted. If they want beheading , tough, shoot them, if they want lethal injection, tough, drown them.
Don't give them what they want , you'll just be bandying to their beliefs.
