Beijing Olympics Threatened

The title of this thread is named as it is because of the following two factors.

According to this website, LHC will start in exactly 3 days, the same day the Beijing Olympics begin. One of John Titor's statements says that there will be no more Olympics after 2004 because of scenario x. Assuming that he's right, what could possibly come as a result of the LHC that would stop the Beijing Olympics on that day?

Also look at this article which states that a border station in China was attacked. Could this been a diversion to sneak terrorists across the border to try to disrupt the Olympics? In addition, take a look at this article and this one. Terrorists, anyway, have a mindset to cause terror and the Beijing Olympics is like jackpot for them.

To begin, I think the whole Titor thing is a bunch of crap. There's no such thing as a time machine.

I do, however, think the Olympics could be ended only days after they begin. As you said, the Olympics would be the jackpot for terrorists. I don't think LHC has anything to do with it. I think the LHC will work just fine and not destroy the world with black holes as the "physicist" from Hawaii with a bachelor's degree claims.

I don't know if the terrorists would want to piss off China though. China, the US, and the EU in a joint effort against Islamic extremists would be a bad deal for any terror organization.
