There is a lot of rumbling about whether or not they found perchlorate.

They keep making the point that results need to be analyzed and peer-reviewed before announcements are made.

Why make all the 'analyzing' and 'reviewing' comments if they haven't found something significant.

Anyway, details about tomorrow's media press conference are in the article.

Thanks for the info, OP...

Sounds like TEGA detected signs of life (the metabolization of nutrients) , but further testing results don't jive with TEGA...and NASA wants to make sure that the "signs" aren't a result of microbial hitchhikers transported by the lander...

I'm intrigued, but wary...**sigh**...hope the announcement doesn't turn out to be a huge buzzkill.
