So I've never really shared my poetry much but here goes. This poem is my reflections on things that aren't right in this world. It touches on the
human ego, the system it has created, and the killing of spirituality by the system.
The title is symbolic of the excitement people seek in every day life. It also tied up the poem nicely relative to the concluding line. I hope you
enjoy it.

Amusement Park
A life so monotonous on the surface
Surrounded by infinitesmal dreams.
Planes of dimensions of existence
Available to be understood with persistent curiosity.
Definitive answers lead further astray however
Conclusions bringing false securities of wisdom
Inviting arrogance to the doorstep.
Possibility is the key to understanding
Every solution is an opinion
Each opinion only a deduction from stems of egos.
Without foundation it seems difficult to build
But the base needs replacing.
Current architecture is flawed,
With masks to mend imperfection.
Lies the bricks and greed the mortar.
Fire that should bring destruction
Somehow tempering itself in strengthening supports.
All need to be reduced to rubble
Destroyed and disposed to make room
For unfaltering materials of a variable structure.
True strength to be found in humility.
Aggressive hostilities causing construction of defenses.
Illusions of power invoked through fear
Hindering the development of progress.
Shimmering strands of potential cut short
Beautiful glows dying out of spite.
Eternal energy cycling through invention
Reformed to make another attempt.
Unlimited spiritual lives,
But only one ride through the physical.
