Like everyone that visits this forum I'm looking for the ever elusive truth. I have always been fascinated by the eyewitness accounts by seemingly credible, sane individuals. I have no problem believing that in the vastness of space that this universe occupies that there is other life out there, including other intelligent life. I also have no problems accepting that other lifeforms could be visiting our planet. There is just so much about our reality we don't know, it boggles the mind. The possibilities of multi-universes and dimensions just opens the doors to things we can't imagine. It really is no wonder that this topic tends to attract so many people, escpecially those who have this deep down feeling that there is something bigger to all this that we just can't seem to grasp.

Sifting through all the noise and just plain bunk is extremely exhausting. It's really not surprising that many in the scientific field will not touch the UFO field with a 10 ft pole. I know there are some legitimate people that do quality work and research on the subject of UFO's but the task is daunting. Maybe the very fact that mainstream researchers don't openly investigate this phenomenon is why there is so much noise. I think this absence of an honest and open look into UFO's creates a void that's filled by some who care not for the truth but only their interests which often includes money.

If you just include only the best and most reliable data it appears that this is a real phenomenon. Is it alien, psychological, dimensional, dellusional, government sponsored psy-ops, or yet undiscovered normal or paranormal? That's the real question. The answer however, always seems to be just out of reach. Like the cookie jar to a child.

With all that said there are a few things I come across that give me problems when trying to satisfy my need for the truth.

Lack of Evidence
Now I know there are some great trace cases and eyewitness reports with ground radar, air radar and visual. But it always seems that everytime someone has the smoking gun it turns out to be another brick wall. Again you have weed out the nonsense but even in cases with reliable data it just doesn't provide hard evidence. Now this where hard, open and more importantly honest scientific research comes in. If these are truly ET in origin it may be very hard to capture hard evidence especially if dimensional and time possibilities are included. It may never be possible to extract hard evidence but we'll not know if its not seriously looked at.

Tall Tales
There are many seemingly honest, credible people who offer these amazing stories of sightings and encounters. This is the bread and butter of ufology. Again you have the problem of these great eyewitness reports mingled in with these fabricated stories that dilute the serious ones. On top of that you have the CIA and military tossing around tales that further confuse and muddy the waters. You just don't see this kind of widespread bunk in other fields of study. It becomes very hard to establish what out of all that information is to be thrown out.

Excuses
We hear these all the time. "The people of Earth are not ready" "They are keeping it a secret because the entire fabric of civilization will unravel" "I can't reveal names because lives are at stake" ...on and on. Are they waiting till every last single earthling is ready for the truth? If thats the case disclosure will never happen. Just look at the viewing numbers for American Idle for proof of that. Civilizations have since the begining of time have collapsed why would ours be any different. We would adjust. These people that come out with these fantastic revelations to later say they must protect their sources really get at me. This is the single most important fact that humanity deserves to know. So what if jobs or lives are lost? I mean this is humanity we are talking about. Humanity past present and future. This goes beyond oaths and allegiances, this belongs to humanki

Offence taken. However I'm pleased you chose to chime in because you help to make one of my points. If indeed it is the case that ET is waiting for humanity in its entirety to reach a certain level of intelligence or enlightenment as some have argued, it can be surmised by this posting that this will never happen. So if this is infact the piece of the puzzle that must fall into place for the truth to unveil itself we may never know the answer.

I'd just ignore onelifetoolive,
she sent me a hostile PM today accusing me of being a troll despite the fact she's only been here 2 days and everyone of her posts casts a negative energy . She really has nothing to offer beyond making ones BP rise...
