'Swiftboat' author Jerome Corsi to release book on Obama

Jerome Corsi, author of Unfit for Command, the John Kerry expose, is set to release a book on Barack Obama entitled Obama Nation which details, from evidence the author has allegedly gathered, Obama's communist sympathies in his early years, ties to radical Islam and social militancy among other points set to be presented.

The book is supposed to be released on August 1st and is almost four years to the date of the 'Swiftboat' campaign targeting John Kerry. Does anyone think this tome will have the same effect on the voting results if it can be in anyway substantiated?

The interesting fact for me is the author said he began preparing this book in late 2006 because he 'knew' Obama would be the Presidential nominee for the Demoractic Party. Seems like he was a bit more perceptive then the average person....

I think the ATS community will find many parallels between this book and the corresponding thread titles and tone.

Much has been made lately on the topic of the Election 2008 forum and its current state.
How this "book" is systematically seeded is a part of that discussion, by no means the only part.

The man is a liar, what a shame such a person can be given the time of day. Corsi is a well known neocon, he is part of numerous conservative organisations including some online rightiwing political sites. His book is obviously bias and he has a personal agenda just like his last book on Kerry.
Corsi is also known for his racial/ religous comments, his made numerous negative posts about muslims and gays and other minorities:

-Corsi is lied on numerous occasions but got away with his lies in his last book "unfit for command".

-Corsi is very bias, he admits he has an agenda for bringing this book out. Mr Corsi never accuses his necon buddies up there in Washington of anything despite the LIES set upon this nation, sure he accused Bush of North American Union but he rarely looks to his own buddies. REALITY: OBAMA CANNOT CLAIM KENYAN CITIZENSHIP

Kenya Does Not Allow Dual Citizenship Applications for People Over 21 Years of Age. The U.S. Office of Personnel Management writes of Kenya, "DUAL CITIZENSHIP: Not recognized except for persons under 21 years old." The Kenyan Constitution writes, "A person who, but for the proviso to section 87 (1), would be a citizen of Kenya by virtue of that subsection shall be entitled, upon making application before the specified date in such manner as may be prescribed by or under an Act of Parliament, to be registered as a citizen of Kenya: Provided that a person who has not attained the age of twenty-one years (other than a woman who is or has been married) may not himself make an application under this subsection, but an application may be made on his behalf by his parent or guardian." Numerous false accusations have been made by Mr Corsi in his book and they have all been debunked.

For too long american citizens have allowed this propaganda to flourish, it is the exact tactic Mr Corsi is using with his book that allowed the american public to be mislead in the first place. After the Iraq war people began to wake up about these very lies and at the same time people began to speak out, yet old habits die hard and people again find themselves listening to the same BS.

Vote for somebody based on their policies and their achievements, dont vote for somebody based on false propaganda. If you have a personal issue with a candidate, the least you can do is not make "excuses" all the damn time about not liking him, stick with the facts, the policies, the issues relevant to POTUS, dont be Limbaugh sheep. It doesnt matter who you'll be voting for, just dont vote for someone because of some propaganda story some liar has got going on.

In the first chapter that i skimmed through (middle of the book, not sure which chapter) i seen more use of sensationalist words like

• Destruction
  
• The terrorists would win
  
• Obama links to radical islam
  
• Rhetoric that says "obama hates babies"
  

Honestly - and truly - it is the Magnum Opus of The Quadrennial Exploitation Of The Moronic Masses

If its well documented and researched - then explain to me how none of it - not a single damn accusation can be proven?

This book, more than anything, plays on American fears of radical Islam. But the book concentrates on ISLAM as a religion - and not radical islam its self.
The premise of this book is "Obama is evil because he personally knows some muslims"

As if that were sickening enough...oh it just gets better.


Its as if the author subscribed to various threads outlined in the D'08 forum.


Keep in mind that being a #1 best-seller doesnt mean it has credibility.

Based on what i know, based on what people have said, i would say your assessment is accurate

I have not read the book

I will not buy it with my own money - so i guess ill have to wait for the library to get a copy. When i do read it (and i will) Ill let you know

this guy, without a doubt in my MIND, subscribes to ATS

the things he talks about in this book are so unbeleivably relative, almost verbatim, to what gets talked about here.

I just completed reading this book and found many of the allegations to be quite concerning. Particularly Obama's supposed ties with radical Islamists in Africa and his support of avowed communists here in the United States. I think these issues need to be explored further to determine how deep these connections run.

It would seem that Mr. Corsi has been detained in Kenya where he doing further research for this book and Obama's alleged connections to radicals in that country. It would appear they have siezed his passport and are questioning his reasons for being in their country. Very odd indeed.

An interesting note - this book has three stars out of five on Amazon right now but their ranking system only shows that eight reviews have been submitted, 4 rank 1's and 4 rank 5's which is incorrect as some of the written reviews were given rank 3 and 4 stars by the reviewer.

It's also interesting to note that if the reviewer of the book ranked the book 4 or 5 stars and said they found some of the material interesting and questioned Obama, they were innundated with replies to their reviews from people claiming that the reviewer didn't read the book, was biased, called them names or called them un-American for not supporting Obama (surprise surprise).

The fact that so many of you from the left have feverishly opposed the very existence of this book means only one thing: that it's worth reading.
