We are not talking about the days are getting longer due to the revolution of the Earth, we are talking about relativity here, velocity time dilation, and special relativity.
So what your doing is making your theory fit the bible stories? Applied to anything that is as vague as the bible we can all make our theories fit. But I still point you to the fact that a jewish day is NOT 24 hours long!

First of all, aren't you supposed to source your copied info dude??

Mods take notice please.

your website refuted
Well it cetainly wasn't the website you listed which answered nothing.
While I do refer to many sites for my info I do check it against quite a few online copies of the bible (just to make sure thats what the scripture says) I think you will find most of the source material come from the bible itself.

So please stop beating around the bush and try and refute these biblical sources.

It refuted each and every one.

If you are under the impression it did not that only means you didn't read it.

Not my problem.

The usual christian cop out.

Your website give 5 prophecies:-
1. Deut. 7:1, God Will Give Israel 7 Nations. Joshua 15:63, He Is Unable To Drive Some Out.

2. Isaiah 17:1 Damascus Will Be Destroyed

3. Isaiah 19:5 The Nile Will Dry Up.

4. Jeremiah 50:39 Babylon will be uninhabited.

5. Ezekiel 29:10-13 Egypt Will Be Uninhabited For Forty Years.

I never mentioned #1,

#2 your site says that it will be done by an attack from Syria and

Many believe it'll likely be fulfilled as early as the summer of this year (2007).
Still waiting - who will it be next? Iran?

#3 Again this has never happened even with the Aswan dam being there

#4 I never mentioned

#5 For one thing Nebuchadrezzar II never actually conquered Egypt - at the battle of Carchemish he did defeat the Egyptians however they retreated back to Egypt. He then attempted an invasion of Egypt 4 years later but suffered setbacks and had to deal with rebellions which he quashed. He then again attacks Egypt 33 years later but never actually conquers them. And again none of the other prophecies have came true.

So what about Isaiah 7:1-7, Ezekiel 26:7-14, Jeremiah 36:30 and the crap in the book of Daniel? These aren't the only ones that have failed.

As I said your refuting answers really answer nothing and as shown above you haven't refuted them all.

My beliefs are Atheistic/Agnostic. I believe that there in the extreme possibility of a god existing, but he is not an active one. He may have been the catalyst to start the creation of this existence, but he hasn't acted since.

I know that "the creation of this existence" is vague, but I stated it like that because we don't know how something like the big-bang happens. That's the perfect area for supernatural belief, because things that are supernatural cannot be explained by conventional science and theory, until we get better tools. So, until we get better tools, I am forced to believe that there is a possibility that a god started this whole thing up.

Other than that, the basis for my beliefs are mostly scientific. Evolution, Cosmology, Astronomy, Physics in general... They all make up a network of evidence that show that things in this universe happen naturally, over millions and billions of years, and aren't whimsically wished into existence by an invisible teapot or flying spaghetti monster.

Ancient texts that a lot of people choose to believe are incredibly inaccurate and misrepresented. There are hundreds of ways to interpret what they mean through various translations and dialects which gives us the many sects of modern religions. Which one is right? I think I'll go with The New Birth Movement. I hope it's right, my "soul" (if it exists) depends on it!

The whole issue of which religion to choose is impossible. A truly gregarious being wouldn't have hundreds of religions on a single planet if only one is right. That is cruel and unusual for a benevolent being. There would be one extremely obvious choice, and you could take it or leave it. However, none of them are obvious because even the most popular religions have bloody, guilt-ridden pasts, presents, and undoubtedly futures.

This doesn't even take in to account things like aboriginal people who will never hear the word of a religion other than their own (many worship the sun, which is where most religion started out I believe). There's also the religions of the old world, like Paganism, the many polytheistic religions of ancient Rome, the Norse gods (religion of the Vikings), Native American religions, Inuit religion... The list is very large.

So, with those things, and others that I don't care to go in to, that is the basis of my beliefs. A non-religion, based in fact from evidence, which has the ability to change to become more accurate rather than degraded with time.

Thank you for your thoughts! They go along with mine. Often it is too much to accept for many - atheists and religious alike that there may be an alternative! Both to me are extremes and leave one in a tight box. If we get out of the box we are open to new evidence that supports a God but one that is not taught in either dogma.

I believe that it is a freedom, a choice, to to become acquainted with a God that does not fit the masses views, nor fits a predetermined box.

You know, I feel where you are coming from. However, I am not atheist. I feel like I am more agnostic or spiritual now.

I have come down the same road as you with religion it seems. Too many inconsistencies and such.

Heck, if I wanted to do as the "Lord God" tells me according to His book I should have been put to death by stoning years ago! Shhhhh.....I worked.....on....... A SUNDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

It's just too easy for churches today to say that the New Testament overrides those laws. Excuse me? Then why have the Old Testament at all? Also, why remove books from it at all? The books of Enoch and such should have been included if it was all inspired by God through man.

I'm sorry, I cannot believe in religion anymore. I do still believe in a creative force that you could call God. It's just probably not going to be what you think of.
