Another Video of NYPD Cop Brutality Surfaces

www.infowars.com

The day after a video emerged of a cop knocking a cyclist to the ground, a second video alleging police brutality surfaced today in which an NYPD officer is seen whaling away at a man’s legs with a baton.

The footage - shot on July 4 on the Lower East Side - shows Officer Maurice Harrington repeatedly hitting Michael Cephus, 46, on his legs with a collapsible metal baton as he struggles with officers trying to cuff him.

This happens every day.

It is common place.

Common.

This is normal.

Nothing out of the ordinary.

Police beat the heck outta hand cuffed people everyday. Police taze people without due cause everyday. The law enforcement community abuse their power against the flesh and liberty of the civilian population everyday.

This is common.

This is routine.

This happens everyday.

What are you waiting for?

What are we scared of?

Being abused as shown happens everyday?

Doing nothing assures us of subjugation so at least resistance may prevent the everyday , run of the mill, ordinary, POLICE STATE TACTICS!

It really is horriable. The man i understand is drunk, but you can hear how bad that must hurt, they man rolling on his back to try and stop, and then he tries to block it with his arms and the other cop pulls his arms back so that he is helpless. He truely does Snap and just unleash on him.

How can we let this happen, how do the by standers just let it go on! Work in numbers guys!

Not good, but you can't scream racial injustice on this one. The man beating the black victem was black too.

Probably why it's not a good idea to resist arrest. Why wouldn't he just let the officers cuff him, why keep fighting? Is what the cops did over the line? Yes, but what do you suppose they're going to do when you try to resist arrest? Ask you to stop with pretty please with a cherry on top at the end? Come on.

I second you again...

This type of thing goes on everyday here in nyc. Nothing new, same old.
Let me add this though. Again. Some people have been trying to make aware these situations and others far worse. On a daily basis, for decades upon decades.
We are at a 0 Tolerance level.

Some will say that he is wrong for resisting. Not knowing the context to which led up to the point of entrance to the video can lead to speculation. From my perspective, knowing what I know, and my experience with NYPD he should not have resisted at all. He did and he caught it. Any person with common sense and morality, would know that the police action was completely uncalled for and unjust.

It's been going on forever. It's just most people weren't paying attention 'cuz it wasn't in their backyard yet.

He was resisting arrest you know. They didn't just decide to start clubbing him, and thankfully they just aimed for the legs. Why didn't the guy stop struggling even after he was hit several times? It really does look like he was under the influence of something.

What would you have done if you were an officer and he wouldn't stop struggling? Seriously question.

It looks like struggling at first but during the beating he was writhing in pain. That had to hurt. I know I would not stand and watch that s--t go down I would be going to jail with that guy.

What ever happened to a good shove?

The whole point to getting a guys arms behind his back starts with him being on his stomach, not writhing in pain trying to stop you from beating him with a baton.

I'll second solo1's conclusion.

Untrained cop meets drunk American.

Can't wait till the ones with automatic rifles get in on the fun, that should make for some great late night TV.
Trigger happy untrained cop, meets 15 round + victim American.

Get your VCR's ready.

Brutality and the NYPD?

They go hand in hand:

Amadou Diallo, Ousmane Zongo, Sean Bell, Khiel Coppin, Patrick Dorismond, Abner Louima, Anthony Baez....

All innocent victims of brutality at the hands of the NYPD.

I swear some of these cops are just ticking timebombs, looking for hapless bystander to vent some pent up aggression on.

to all the victims of po-leese brutality, never mind diddums, you can still sue the po-leese for a million dollars per blow providing its taped of course .
Offer no resistance and def. no back chat. comply with every demand , and if they decide to kick your butt then sue theirs.

ka-ching , ka-ching.

That is resisting arrest? My nephew puts up more resisting when I'm play fighting! These two corrupt police officers were just fed up. They are stir crazy in trying to handle the man. They should have just tossed him over on his back and did what they were trained to do. Instead they went over the limit of use of force and continued to hit him (out of anger or frustrations from the looks of it).

Keep up the good work people! Keep recording those corrupt police officers. Even if they should come beat you up for recording (have someone else record that too!).

Johnmike you know if the guy was not acting like such a moron and allowed them to cuff him (put his hands where they could) they would not have beat the hell out of his legs.

sure perhaps the officer could have hit him a few less times in the leg, but once someresists the cop usually get the benefit of the doubt

we will see more of these videos with nearly everyone having a recording device on their phones now
