That is actually really amazing. To me anyway.

I know someone is going to discount it though....they always do

I wonder what other messages are tucked away in that torah of theirs?

I've read a bunch of stuff from Khouse. What I have learned from them is that the Bible is way more than just an old book, and that is not just a bunch of stories (it is that) but rather one big story.

My grandfather used to say that the NT is inside the OT concealed and that the OT is in the NT revealed. In other words, you need the NT to truly understand the OT and vice versa.

It's an amazing book. It's too bad so many people just dismiss it or say it doesn't say what it says. Oh well.

the mental image this inspired was halarious.

"Methuselah's father was given a prophecy of the coming Great Flood, and was apparently told that as long as his son was alive, the judgment of the flood would be withheld; but as soon as he died, the flood would be brought or sent forth.

(Can you imagine raising a kid like that? Every time the boy caught a cold, the entire neighborhood must have panicked!)"

lol

i have often suspected there was more to the bible than we thought, imagine what other truths are yet to be revealed.

imagine living 700 years that would be incredible...

Just goes to show we are more connected than people would like to realize. I often talk about the tower of babel/confusion of tounges to people and all I get is a shrugging of shoulders. I was raised a JW btw...

I wont discount it Because I wont be the judge, but I will say that there are many interpretations of the bible, that can be read differently and interpreted differently depending on who is reading it.

So This does not shock or Blow me away

Wow! Thank you so much for sharing. I literally got goose bumps when I saw that. However, I like to be thorough and look up everything for myself which resulted in me noticing a few differences. This is what I found:

Adam: Mankind/Man
Seth: Placed/Appointed
Enos: Mortal Man
Kenan: Possession
Mahalalel: Praise of God
Jared: Descent
Enoch: Dedicated/Disciplined
Methuselah: Man of the dart/His death will bring
Lamech: (?) Powerful/Pauper (This definition was uncertain)
Noah: Rest

Pretty much the same thing with a few alterations.

Thanks again for sharing. I'll be researching this some more.
