first UFO sighting!

Well, I beleive I saw my first UFO not an hour ago. So, I thought I would share with ya'll.

I am leaving to go back to school tomorrow morning and was going through the process of saying goodbye to all my friends and staying up late in order to sleep well on the plane.

On my last stop of the night I woke my buddy and we walked outside to chat, look up at the sky, reminisce and what not. As I was looking up towards the south eastern night sky I noticed to strobing white lights side be side, just sitting there, unmoving. The lights were only strobing every couple seconds, then they would be a solid light again for a second.

At first I thought that it was just the large radar balloon that floats in our sky (I live next to a military base along the border), but it was in the wrong spot and the wrong color, so I turned just to make sure, and the balloon was right where it belonged. When I turned back, the lights were still there in the same place, just sitting up there in the sky. I told my friend, pointed to them, and we watched it for a few more minutes wondering what it was. He lost interest and was moving about when one of the lights began to converge with the other until it was totally eclipsed by it. This gave me the impression that whatever it was was turning in the air.

So i could only see the one light anymore, still hovering there, for a couple more seconds, then it began to move across the sky at an even pace. Now it seemed to my untrained eye to be moving faster than a plane would, but i really couldn't tell the distance to the craft since it was just two lights in the sky at night.

Well, the remaining light moved a couple inches across the sky then suddenly just disappeared. It was gone. There was no streaking of light as if it accelerated, no quick dimming as if the lights where put out. It was just gone, as if it was never there.

Any opinions on what it could have been?

Thought I would share my first experience with everyone.
