Intelligent life!

I have a problem!
People say we aren't the only intelligent life out there! This is an utter lie in my opinion!
We aren't intelligent, sure we can make things from Computers to Planes and Space shuttles. But the thing is, if we are so intelligent, why are there wars, and battles, we arent that clever if we think bombing and killing is the way to solve our problems.
Perhaps that is just why intelligent life hasn't made itself publicly known to us is becasue they fear us, or they disagree with our violence and destruction!

Personally i believe there is Intelligent and non intelligent life out there, but we are certainly not one of the, not how we are at the moment!

OF COURSE we are intelligent, you are missing the link to the intention of the ones that are in charge and yes, they are intelligent too, but have no good intentions towards the "little man" (us).

so basically i can understand your point ... but its all a matter of what WE want and are willing to do (or even sacrifice) for it.

i think this belongs in the conspiracy section :-)

I don't think we really need verification of whether or not we're intelligent. That would vary based on who you ask. There will always be conflicts, it may end up in war or may end up in a debate.
I don't think we can really know why contact hasn't been made mainstream yet because we really don't know whats going on in the heads of other life forms.
We can't even really understand the knowledge or cultural beliefs in other countries unless we frequently interact with them. So it's all guesses/speculation.

Well we went to the moon and did most of the early space program and breaking of the sound barrier more from slide rules & drafting tables than from computers
but yeah I see your point.

Well, some of us are intelligent.....others, not so much.....




Though, I think that we need to put our "intelligence" into perspective. We think we know so much, but we have nothing to quantify that. If we met another civilization that was 1000x more intelligent that we were, or the opposite, then we could say one way or another.
