Hey guys,

This is the first thread that I have ever started and am doing so because something has been bugging the hubby and I. Please forgive me if this is the wrong forum for this topic and, if so, feel free to move it to its correct home.

Is it possible that the outrageous fuel prices are a last ditch effort for the powers that be to rake in a final windfall before disclosure takes place and, subsequently, a new cheaper form of energy is introduced to the planet?

So many countries are coming forward concerning their UFO files, sightings are increasing, the media is showing greater interest in the phenomenon, and even the Vatican is now chiming in. We have had a hold on Iraq for years now so it would seem that prices would be going down. However, gas prices are at record highs and the oil big wigs are turning obscene profits. Where is the justification in that? It all reminds me of Ma Bell before deregulation. Remember when long distance service cost a arm and a leg? Is anyone here old enough to remember how much the phone company was profiting right before the big change? Got to make that last penny before the curtain call...

Again, sorry if I am rambling, but I really am starting to wonder about this. Thoughts or opinions? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

I sure hope it comes soon, these prices here are insane! I like your theory, we will see what will happen when Bush's reign of terror ends soon.
If the Gov. releases it's knowledge of alien propulsion the world will forever change.

Well, I don't know...It seems possible but alittle odd. I suppose, in that situation, that's what I'd do.

This disclosure is something to be marveled at. I had theories about UFO's that people literally laughed in my face about 2 years ago, and now when I mention it, they literally listen to me like a prophet.

The public was always interested in it, it's been peer pressure mainly.
(my opinion)

Knowing the way our greedy leaders may be thinking, I seriously doubt we would see much financial benefit ourselves in some type of relief very soon. That will probably be another lame and drawn out process like peace in the middle east. That's like saying not until we have world peace?

First we have to have some type of general disclosure. I doubt we'll get full disclosure...if ever. Bush would have to pardon most of the government.

I've wondered about that too - among other things

if disclosure finally happens - officially - and depending on how - I think it's pretty likely everything will change

the balance of power will change

the way we react to government will change - religion - who's in charge will be a big question

are we safe - are we not - who do we trust

not that we don't have those questions now

whatever changes happen with technology - or anything else - I can see there being power grabs of all kinds

money - what will it mean?

the world won't change immediately - unless you consider that it's already changing in preparation for something

there are a lot of situations these days that seem artificial - contrived - things that might make more sense if something big was just around the corner

I really like this theory, it rings true with me. Starred and flagged.

I can pretty much guarantee you that we'll never get full discolsure, but I do feel that a limited disclosure is on the way in the next 12-24 months.

It's not much of a stress to think that a new energy supply will come with this disclosure (does anyone really believe that UFOs are powered by gas?). Following that logic, it does make sense that the oil companies would want to get the most out of this market while they can.

I agree with aleon, in that we will be made to pay whatever the new source is, but if it's not the oil companies that we're paying, then it makes sense that they would be compensated before th market moves in a new direction.

I've been reading posts about imminent disclosure for as long as i can remember

imminence is relative

100 years is not a very big chunk of world history - soon could be another 100 years

as far as human history is concerned - and considering what we're talking about - it could still be soon

Me too, but I haven't seen UFOs as a regular subject on Larry King Live, nor have I seen the Vatican releasing a statement about alien life before. Maybe it's nothing, maybe we're in for another 50 years of secrecy - but it certainly seems like something is building at the moment.

Doubt it. If there is a direct correlation and the current US fuel prices are the "pain limit", then Europe would have seen disclosure in 1985 or something.

Firstly, I hate to break it to you, but fuel prices are through the roof worldwide.

Secondly, how could you possibly limit disclosure to one region in a global community?

Thirdly, it is not impossible to conclude that current fuel prices are related to imminent disclosure without assuming that all high fuel prices are linked to disclosure.

I concur. Also, going back to the Vatican, the fact that it is now being stated that both alien life and the catholic belief system can co-exist bolsters my opinion that something is afoot. Religious institutions are notorious for their oppression or outright rejection of anything that does not fit into their doctrine. History has proven that most (not all) religious leaders only bow to pressure when change is imminent. In an effort to "maintain the flock", inter-racial marriages, female pastors and ministers, women working out of the home, and slavery (to name a few) were all removed from the "aberrant" list to "acceptable" once they realized that the will of the people could not longer be ignored. Perhaps this too is an attempt to ensure that catholics stay with the church after disclosure.

..and I remember when those who believed in UFO's were automatically labeled as loons. Now, belief gets air time on Larry King. I have never seen so much interest as I have in the past ten years. Years ago, I would not have even know what "disclosure" meant in terms of aliens. It is now becoming a household term.

Thanks for the replies, guys. I appreciate them all.

The "pain limit" is relative, however. In 1990, petrol in England was about 0.40 per liter, or 1.81 per gallon. That was considered outrageous to Americans back then (we were paying about 1.03 per gallon..less if you lived in the south like me), but it was really no big deal to our friends across the pond. However, petrol is now over 100.00 per liter! Like us, they are now feeling the pain. Just like in the US, people in England are now having to choose between paying certain bills, buying a certain amount of food, or buy gasoline. Everyone is hurting now.

1994 Gas prices in the US was 1.02$ a gallon. Stay under 2 until about 2001
