Cancer expert warns employees on cell phones

www.cnn.com

PITTSBURGH, Pennsylvania (AP) -- The head of a prominent cancer research institute issued an unprecedented warning to his faculty and staff Wednesday: Limit cell phone use because of the possible risk of cancer.

The warning from Dr. Ronald B. Herberman, director of the University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute, is contrary to numerous studies that don't find a link between cancer and cell phone use, and a public lack of worry by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

wi fi is as bad as the cell phone frequency to

Same thing for CORDLESS phones

I really dug into this issue last month, and the outcome was:
I got rid of all cordless phones in my house, and went back to corded phones.......
I do not have a cell phone.......and my son gave his back to his father.
My son helped me in our digging up all the information about cell phone danger and so it was his idea to give back the phone.
He is even walking away from friends who's phone rings, or if they make a call...he is getting about 15 feet away from them. He is making sure he is carrying a pocketful of change to use PAY phones if he needs to make a call.......and when school is back in he will be asking the office to use the phones they have instead of borrowing a cell phone.

If your office or apartment has a cell tower on top of it your in a world of SERIOUS DANGER.
You should move ASAP if there is a cell tower on your building.

I totally agree with you bud but I unfortunately HAVE to have my cellphone. It reminds me of when I used to smoke and see all those warnings about the dangers but put it to the back of my mind.
Cell phones are everywhere, imagine they said today that its bad and can give you cancer. (Its not addictive in the sense that one craves it but you do need it...)

A couple years ago I got a Motorolla phone, one of the first to have the aerial on the inside and my leg used to get sore exactly where my phone laid in my pocket. So when I could, I would take my phone out my pocket and didnt want it on my body.
I tested it on many occasions, it was definitely the phone that was making my leg sore...

I remember watching a documentary a while back on the harmfull effects of cellphones and it was scary. - Espeically for people who live near Towers, they would always feel tired and some would hear a constant buzzing noise in their head. Their plants in the garden, arched and grew away from the tower like it was being pushed.
Then they paid some big company to investigate the harmful effects of cellphones and they, after a loong investigation decided not to release their findings...

If it freaks you out that bad, build a "faraday cage" and live in it. Or just turn the phone off when you are not using it. Cell phones "ping" the cell towers about every few minutes, it doesnt need to ring for the ill effects.

When I used to live at home with my dad, he always said that Cell Phones would cause cancer, he said it was so unnatural. So of course I followed his ideas and now to know I'm better off than the others I used to go to school with?

It feels like a hollow victory, though I have not been as exposed as most people. I cannot help but feel guilty for those who have become dependent on such things for their daily lives.
