It was interesting to know that what we call "stealth technology" was initially developed in USSR (in the mid of 1960th) by Russian physicist Petr
Ufimcev. But after his work was thoroughly examined it proved to be low effective and high cost method as well. Russians declined his proposal and
went on working trying to create a real "stealth technology "(you may have heard about plasma stealth technology, it does exist in Russia now!). As
for method of Petr Ufimcev, it was taken by Americans and guarded like top secret .Ben Rich (one of the leading engineers of Lockheed Corporation)
said:" We were unbelievably lucky by sneaking such information from an open source (scientific magazine) which was apparently overlooked by Soviet
military.
What we've got now? America spent billions on hundreds useless planes, sorry stealth planes (for Americans taxpayers).
P.S. When Yugoslavian army started shooting down stealth planes (F117, B2), they made a medal with a print on it: Sorry guys, we did not know it was
invisible.
