For my two cents I would bet that the SS went on to integrate into the Skull and Bones AKA eulogians... I mean just study Prescott Bush and apply the theory.

That's an interesting question to ask... What makes one group a direct descendent of another? You've got a handful of groups calling themselves Knights Templar today, where most try to incorporate some sort of ideology, but none can prove a direct, unbroken chain with the original group. You've got splinter factions of the Rosicrucians or the OTO, all claiming to be the real deal. You've got Pink Floyd still going on as Pink Floyd after Roger Waters left the band.

How much is enough, and how strong do the ties have to be? Ideology vs pedigree? Both are prone to evolution or mutation in different environments, so would we even recognize a direct descendent if we saw it?

I don't believe we would recognize a direct descendent of the group if we saw it for a couple of reasons. First and foremost can you think of a group in modern history that is more hated and despised the world over. It's almost a universal hatred that people of the Earth hold against Nazi's in general and not just the SS. As a result of that I would guess that they would choose to remain hidden. Possibly even from each other to an extent and especially to any new blood that may have been brought on board. The new blood wouldn't exactly know in the beginning what they have become a part of.
Secondly times have changed and I don't believe most people if the SS were to rise again would readily condone or support any policy to eradicate certain ethnic groups from the Earth. They would most certainly have to have a policy to hide or wash away the sins from their past.
Pedigree I feel would be the first call to arms so to speak and be at the core of any group that still exists and may someday expand.

Absolutely the original members of the SS would definately be up there in age. That isn't to say that it hasn't been passed on in some aspect to subsequent generations and for it to survive in any capacity today it would have had to.

This was a great question.

As some people may be aware, I am writing a book about secret societies, and in the process of accumulating information and anecdotes for that book I've come across odds and ends that indicate the SS did survive, in a desiccated form, in South America through the 50s and 60s.

Most of you are aware of the diaspora of Nazi elites in the aftermath of WWII. Scientists found employment with the US via Operation Paperclip. Financial and intelligence specialists found employment worldwide in both the public and private sectors. Nazis with less marketable skills (military officers and party ideologues) who nonetheless had connections were able to emigrate to South America.

In the early 50s and 60s, throughout Brazil and Uruguay in particular, there was a sudden surge in Satanic ritual activity. There were local reports about death cults with Deathshead and serpentine imagery (both trademarks of the SS). Israeli Nazi hunters were convinced that cloisters of former SS men and Nazi officers were located in these countries and throughout the rest of South America.

The problem, as several other posters have pointed out, is that by this time the SS had been polluted and dilluted with mediocrity, and their racist doctrines prevented them from recruiting young, talented men into their ranks if they were not "racially pure". Thus the remnants of the SS died out relatively quickly, although there are still mongrel Satanic and deathcults in these regions that are either uninterested or unaware of their origins in the fall and dispersion of the Third Reich.

In Europe, the New World Order tried to destroy every last vestige of national-socialism as the Third Reich was the greatest enemy the NWO ever faced. SS members were treated worse than anyone else, because they were its staunchest supporters. Thousands of them died in post-camps war. Others lost their civil rights and many were forced to move away from home or became pariahs because the allied governments forced-fed the masses horror propaganda that depicted them as genocidal monsters.

Anyway, things cooled down after some time and many SS veterans managed to live incognito in Western-European society. They organised themselves in veteran organisations where they discussed their experiences af the Easterm front and in some cases even politics. All this in small circles away from the public, to avoid public outrage. Many of these veterans stuck to their ideology until their death in spite of public opinion, but they never had any power whatsoever. The NWO made sure they wouldn't.

I am curious to know if anyone believes the Schutzstaffel (SS) still exist in any capacity. They were a very powerful organization at the height of their power and it would shock me if they died out completely in the years following WWII. I know there were small bands of ex-SS men that helped each other escape but, did the organization survive? I believe that if they did they would have to be one of the most secret societies in existance today. Share your thoughts.

I appreciate the well thought out reply. I have continued to ponder this question. As a result I have begun to believe that what you hit on is true. They were the greatest threat to the NWO and all the other secret societies combined. They may be gone now but, I have to ask another question. If all of you were faced with succumbing to the NWO or joining a modern day SS or similar National Socialist group, what side would you join?

For me, it depends on how the group defines and practices national-socialism. "Neo-nazi" skinheads are nothing but a bunch of frustrated and pathetic losers who blame anyone but them for their own misfortune. I would rather die than join a group like theirs. On the other hand, some have a very positive definition of national-socialism and a very benign lifestyle and I can only respect them.

National-Socialism believes there are two fundamental ways of living, and thus two fundamental types of society based upon these two ways. There is the material way of living, with individuals striving for, or pursuing, "happiness", material comfort and wealth. Then there is the way of excellence, of idealism (or nobility) with individuals striving for an idealistic goal. It is these values, and these values alone, which create a civilized individual. A civilized person is a more evolved individual - someone with a higher, a noble, personal character. Further, it is the duty of each noble individual to act in accord with the workings, the will, of Nature herself.

According to National-Socialism, the folk - or "race" - is how Nature works. For National-Socialism, the folk is Nature made manifest; the folk is our connection to Nature. The different folks which exist among our human species are an expression of evolution in action - of Nature working over Aeons to produce diversity and difference. Thus, the folk is an expression of our very humanity - of our human identity.

Accordingly, National-Socialism desires to preserve and further evolve, in an honourable way, the folk itself. All other philosophies, political beliefs or religions desire to destroy the folk through creating multi-racial, multi-cultural societies.

However, it needs to be stressed that National-Socialism - being based upon honour - demands that all National-Socialists treat all people, of whatever race and culture, with respect. To do otherwise, is contrary to the ethics of National-Socialism, based as these ethics are upon honour.
