Ritual Sacrifice and Celebs

Is there a pattern to good movies and deaths? I'll give two examples, The Crow and The Dark Knight.
I think the deaths of Brandon Lee and Heath Ledger have two purposes 1.To help promote the film or
2.Some sort of ritual sacrifice. Both great actors at the peak of their careers and BAM suddenly without
warning they're dead. Heath Ledger's role as The Joker was AMAZING to say the least.
It really did feel odd and out of place the way Heath Ledger died does it not or maybe im just looking to hard
for something that doesn't exist. I just cant understand why Heath had to die the way he did and the same goes for Brandon. Both of them make little to no sense and kinda makes you think. Although Brandons case for ritual sacrifice could be a little higher up there considering how his character wasn't able to die and Brandon gets shot and dies.
