At the time of posting, only a video is available. The head of DHS admitted that the "terrorists" are now using recruits that do not fit the profile or are on the watch lists in planning terrorist attacks. DHS claims that by using Europeans with no obvious connections to the Middle East, terrorists are utilizing people who will not be detected by the current profiles and lists.

Rather than admit that the whole process of profiles and lists is a flawed strategy, as I have pointed out at www.abovetopsecret.com... and other places, the apparent strategy, according to the video is to expand the amount of information about travelers from Europe, including phone numbers to help identify those people who have connections to people that have connections to the middle east.

There was also some discussion about fingerprint databases.

The approach by DHS is to call for more and more data about more and more people is dysfunctional. Every time DHS profiles yet another class of people, those who DHS should be protecting the US from will just start posing as another group that is not yet profiled.
