Could you recommend some movies concerning war between Aliens and People to me?

I have watched . The movie didn't show any combat between people and aliens.

Another movie I watched was in which the war like a conflict but a real war.

is good indeed, but only one. I'm desiring more.....

Sorry for posted this thread here, which may be not appropriate in this board, but people who enthuse movie may be not familiar with a movie about alien's war.

Thanks in advance

War of the Worlds, of course, any of the incarnations...
The Day the Earth Stood Still...lots of old 50's movies concerning this...

My personal favorite, V the Miniseries.... is certainly a more sneaky kind of war, mirroring what happened in Nazi Germany...

I think maybe you should also look into the Dystopian movie's out there.

I think they will really push your button's.

Now dont get me wrong Dystopian has a different edge from your basic sci fi movie but like i said there great.

Ok two i suggest to start with are.

They live (1988)

Set in the future, a drifter discovers that alien beings are controlling the minds of the masses by use of subliminal messages urging apathy and obedience. Nada, a down-on-his-luck construction worker, discovers a pair of special sunglasses. Wearing them, he is able to see the world as it really is: people being bombarded by media and government with messages like “Stay Asleep”, “No Imagination”, “Submit to Authority”. (Directed by John Carpenter)

Dark City (1998)

A cop tries to help an amnesiac fugitive, suspected of being a serial killer, to discover the truth about his past. He finds that his memories and his reality as he knows it are, in fact, artificial creations controlled by a fiendish underworld of ominous alien beings knows as The Strangers. (Directed by Alex Proyas)

Hope you enjoy.

Take care.

Regards
Lee

Hey there Super Moderator,

I have written with no resolve yet why a thread is allowed to be thrown off topic by Psycho 81 and Shakesbear.

www.abovetopsecret.com...

Everyone is contributing to the thread well but these two posters wish to continue their everlasting vendetta against me and friends. From around page 26 it goes on and on and this is the second time I have had to notify Mods with as of yet no reply.

I believe in a fair and even playing field for all, but these two posters are practically making themselves look exempt from your rules. This continues for in excess of 5 pages and there is yet no removal of any of their posts.

I trust that you will take the appropriate action as a Super Moderator

On the topic of this thread I would say that Signs starring Mel Gibson is pretty much the most realistic depiction of an alien invasion.

I like ID4 but it is way to hollywood for me and the portrayal of the characters is way too unrealistic. The movie is cool and sounds top notch but for realism I think Signs suits the bill better

Hey thanks I will do that, its just these two posters seem to be immune to Mods for some reason. They have been allowed to go on for 5 pages of off topic garbage how the Mods have not stopped this amazes me.

Thanks again

-

As for possible other avenues
