Is there any evidence that the Messieh, might come in our Generation?

While surfing through the web, I found a lot of discussions through the Title of "will the messieh return", and what was the interesting thing, that probably all of them agree that the messieh might return in this generation..... But i dunno :S

Any one who have any idea abt this subject...Plz shed light on this subject..

No evidence, but it's more about what one believes in.

According to the eschatology that I was taught, it comes after the establishment of a world government that has the ability to enforce religious laws on everyone.
So, looking at the advancements towards that goal, you can figure it is not far off.
The EU is establishing itself with the Pope as its religious head.
When we finish implementing the North American Union we will have to establish the Catholic Church as the official State religion, to get Mexico to sign up.
They could use the excuse of an energy shortage to rationalize a national Sunday law to shut down business, one day a week.
Once the NAU joins with the EU, into a larger world government, that will be the end.
All this could happen within a few years.
The people who survive will be the ones who spread out into rural areas and can grow their own food.
This is how I understand the stuff that was written out, a hundred years ago.
People back then were watching closely to see the signs of the end.
We do not have to be very observant to see it all around us, now.
