About Java, you may want to reboot first.

About the times, eventually I'm going to have to set one final date and that be it. I can't manage everyone's schedule. Either people can make it or they can't. All I can do is set the date and hope people show up. There's only so much I can do about it.

Yeah done that, still not sure how to test if the ESPN chat is running though. And I did a java test at the java website and its installed.

Probly a good time to U2U everyone now with the current time. I mean not everyones gonna be happy but if we keep changing it, its never gonna happen

Why not just hold an off line draft ?
That way differnt time zones and other issues could be avoided .

Then we risk people not showing up to make their picks and we get stuck on one pick? We've already had at least two people not responding to u2u's or posting anything about what time is best for them.

yeah nike, it's really addictive. I had 3 games under my belt and I was the 3rd stringer running back (name's adrians peterson). I had my 1st TouchDown on my 17th rushing attempt! and here's the replay

Do you have to pay to actually make this game worthwhile?

And how about the fantasy draft? We still going ahead? It seems like communication is not at its best? I believ anyone that doesnt reply to Novus' u2u's in time should just have their picks chosen automatically

i don't think you have to pay to enjoy that game, but i really like the concept. i think i need just like 20-30 bucks to actually build my own team next season.

also for our fantasy draft here. the pc will pick for you if you're not in the live draft (true, commish?)

Im happy with the time now, so will be staying up late to do it. I dont think we should change the time, I just think the ppl that cant make it should organise their pre draft thing when they got time.

I've sent u2u's to people who haven't responded in this thread. Some people haven't responded through u2u, others haven't read them. There's not much I can do about that, unfortunately.

Everyone has been informed though, so whoever doesn't show up is too busy to show up. I wish we could have had a fair draft for everyone, but the time zone differences look to be preventing that. And an offline draft really isn't an option because the some of the same people that may not show up may also hold up the offline draft, and the season starts in 9 days.

Wednesday at 11 AM EST is the draft. If you cannot make it, I strongly suggest you do your pre-rankings. It won't be as good as if you were there for the draft, but it would be a hell of a lot better than letting the system randomly pick for you.

Also, everyone should check their Java settings. You can test the draft application from the league home. It should be at the top left somewhere.

The draft application and draft chat opens one hour before the draft time. You can come in at any point in between 10 and 11 AM EST. I believe if you show up late, the system will not let you in. I'm not positive about that though.

I will be in ATS Chat in the Off Topic Banter room. If something isn't working with the draft application, there's nothing I can do. Its under ESPN's control, not mine. Thats why I suggest you check it out prior to going in.

EDIT: This is a disaster. Alright, so, I just tried to change the draft time and its telling me 10 AM for tomorrow morning isn't available for some reason. The earliest I can do is 11 AM EST. I changed the times in my post above as well.

Sorry everyone. I didn't know it would be this much drama. We should probably organize different leagues next year according to time zones.

Or maybe we should pick a set time from the start so people can work around that, call in sick etc....lol

So I am assuming the draft is in approx 12 hours time at the time I am writing this

Yes, thats correct.

We should definitely change things next year though. Hopefully it'll be better. We'll learn from the mistakes here and correct it. But if everyone could just make it through this one day, everything will be fine.

Hmm providing I haven't stuffed up the time zones I will set my alarm for 3.30am . That should give me half an hour to log in to ESPN and head into chat and anything else I have to do .

ESPN Draft Lobbies undergo scheduled maintenance daily from 5 AM to 8 AM ET and Wednesdays from 5 AM to 11 AM ET during which draft rooms are unavailable
