90 aircraft in RAF flypast

Today at RAF Fairford there will be a flypast of 90 different military aircraft, it is the 90the birthday of the RAF,

This weekend I'm attending an annual airshow here in the States that features antique and historical aircraft.

Representing the UK will be Camels, Hurricanes, Spitfires, Mosquitoes, Harvards (not sure if these were built by Britain, maybe Canada), Lancasters, and more.

The main focus this year is the P-40. They plan to have at least 12 flying airframes.

Last year the theme was bombers, they had approx. 6 B-17s, 6 B-24s, 6 B-25s and a B2 Spirit Fly-by.

I'll post pictures of this weekend's show next week.

I expect there will be a remembrance service at St. Clement Danes in London today.

On a day like this I prefer to focus on the great sacrifices of the people in the RAF rather than celebrating with the machinery of flight.
