"Although he does not seem the least bit hesitant to discuss these very issues weekly on cable television and in the print news media, Mr. Rove and his attorney have apparently concluded that a public hearing room would not be appropriate. Unfortunately, I have no choice today but to compel his testimony on these very important matters." - Judiciary Committee chairman, Rep. John Conyers

The decision on whether he should be cited for contempt will be made by the full Judiciary Committee and, ultimately, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. Anyone who knows Pelosi's record will not be expecting the arrest of Rove any time soon.

To be fair to him, Rove has offered to speak to them informally and in private and his former colleague and White House Press Secretary Scott McClellan can vouch for his dishonesty.

But Rove offered them a deal. Him alone in a room with dimmed lights, no recordings or oaths, with one or two Republican Senators. Isn't that good enough for the Dems?

And no response from anyone? Rove IGNORES the Law and nothing? If Clinton or some other Dem had done this the GOP would be out in the streets rioting.

But then I had to come to ATS to learn that a District Court in California has ruled that President George W. Bush is a felon

Rove is now interviewed (behind closed doors) for four hours by a federal prosecutor. Is this criminal finally going to be subpoenaed?
