My mother described much the same thing that these pictures show.
She was in Polson Montana at the time and described it as an overcast day except for one area that caught the attention of her and my
sister-in-law.
She explained it to me as this 'giant hol'e in the clouds in which 'blue sunlight' shone through. Grace, my SIL for short, then described 'two
long faint silvery sticks that were moving parallel to eachother but in opposite directions."
This happened back in February or early March.
Nice find.
I'll have to show this to them both to see if it has any similarities to what they saw.
