Huamns only use about six precent of their brains. You know those people that could walk on nails and not get hurt, and that could hold their breth for a really long time they meditate. So they probably after they meditate use maybe 12% of their brain. If we used 100% then we would probably be able to create illusions, levitate, read minds... and other stuff like that.

The people you are talking about are usually yogic adepts ....and they dont hold there breath...the breath in combination the heart beat cease......and i can tell you .....its true

What if we used 100% of our liver? Or colon? Seriously, we use all of our brains. Maybe not all at once, but that's just common sense. Oh yeah, the heart really isn't shaped like what you see on Valentine's Day either.

While both statements are true.... they are very different in what they are referring to.
One person is referring to use of the physical areas of the brain.. the other is referring to capacity and power.

Its alot like having a computer that has a 2.2 gig processor but you have it set to only run at 400mhz instead.

Sure we use nearly all of the physical areas, but that is really NOT what people are referring to when discussing the 10% that we use.

Certain regions have very little activity and the pineal gland is one of those. When you are able to get that gland to work more your psychic abilities open up more.

This is what is refferred to as the third eye.. the window to the soul.... it is more like the eye of the very essence of what you are... beyond your physical body.

There is a difference in using 100% of physical matter and 100% of potential power.

You may not believe it but we use a significant portion of our brain. IF you can see sight takes up a lot of brain space. Hearing takes a lot of brain space. Touching, breathing, and heart pumping all take space. The brain has to deal with alot of stimuli.

I read somewhere, i am going to have to find it, that we do use most of our brains. If you take away 10% pf te brain chances are you wouldn't be able to function as well.

This is your brain working 100 per cent!

When I read this post I was thinking the same think so no works needed that is the best explanation.

Well, Im no scientis but I am pretty sure if we actually used 100% of our brain we would need to consume more energy and nutrients to feed the rest of the Brain, you'd probably have to eat fish all day to keep up with the amount of energy used by the increase brain use and you still probably wouldnt be able to produce enough energy to use 100% al the time
