With optimism and skeptisism looming over whether Bush will declare war with Iraq, one thing is certain.
The Heavens have provided mankind with answers since we first looked up. We often look to our closest neighbor for guidence and understanding of whats
to come.
Day by day as Spring 2003 approaches, Mars will come closer and closer. In fact, it will come so close that it will be the brightest object in the
night sky.
On an average biennial meeting with Earth, Mars comes about as close as 45 million miles. But in August of 2003, it will be the closest it has ever
been since before the telescope was invented. 34.6 million miles away to be exact.
The Red Planet will become so large that it will easily display its features to the naked eye.
-The Bringer of War
Mars, the Greek god of war, and one of the most prominent and worshipped gods. In early Roman history he was a god of spring, growth in nature, and
fertility, and the protector of cattle. Mars is also mentioned as a chthonic god (earth-god) and this could explain why he became a god of death and
finally a god of war.
And one more note, The month of "March" is derived from Mars also. Recently it was announced by the Pentagon the we could see a build-up of forces
from now until march.
Always remember to look up every once in awhile.
The Iraqis certainly will be soon.
