my family has a weird sort of tradition, im not quite sure what to make out of it but each member of my family has it in common. They believe that the last family member that dies becomes the youngest member of the family. Not like reincarnate but more of like 2 personalities melded into one some of my relatives can recall things that happened before they were born. And the main reason im posting this is i do have a relatives who are considered schizophrenic, im basically wondering if there really is a bond that can exist like that or is it my family just has developed a trend for mental disorder?
and yes this tradition of sorts effects me

wouldnt that mean that there would only ever be a certain amount of people in your family or less.
like say you had 10 members and 1 died you would have 9 but the next born would make 10 taking the dead persons place... yea well what would happen if an 11th baby was born? there would be no dead relative for it?
but it all sounds very interesting and cool.
so can you remember any past events about your "inner relative"?
and do you know who your "inner relative" is?

this tradition is on my dads side of the family he was born into a family of 12 from which i have about 27 cousins and expecting more. Im not sure with clauses in it or anything but my grandpa who is my spirit guide or idk what to call it was able to remember the day his father stepped off the boat in new york. from my grandpa though i just have random memories mostly when im in the area he grew up around. the most amazing thing that i've saw, is the sears tower mid built and my dad around the age of 20 sitting next to him

That is a very interesting family tradition! Wether or not it has any truth to it only you can know. But it certainly is something nice/interesting to pass down the generations.

My grandfather died right before my son was born. I can say for certain that he does not have anything in common with my grandfather.

Nice theory/family tradition, thanks for sharing.

ah its nice to hear that people don't automatically call me crazy or label me as a freak because only a few close friends have heard this, its not something my family just brags about because like i said above its easy to label someone crazy but not as easy as being acceptive to others

it also sounds like it could be a very very old curse or blessing put upon your family...

I like to think the dead stay dead and new babies are new people... interesting tradition tho.

This sounds like something Douglas Hofstadter described in his book "I am a Strange Loop". I think you should read it. It's not "paranormal" or anything, which makes it even better.

wow looks like your on a bit of a quest.
would you see it as a curse that you need to undo or a blessing that you seek more knowledge about.

ehh i feel that its more of a reminder of who you and your family is but thats just my thoughts. i also believe that this "curse" as sum have called it may have more connections to somewhere i really dont know though

This was very good advice.

Pity it's unlikely to be heeded.
