Let Us, On This Independence Day

This Independence Day, this day that represents freedom, let us ask ourselves what exactly it means to be free. Freedom is having the power to make our own choices without coercion or interference from an outside power. With this definition in mind, let us ask ourselves if we really are free. How many of our decisions are influenced and manipulated by our government, our media? Let us ask ourselves how much of our constitution has been trampled and spat upon. Although we are not free, let us be free on this Independence Day, this day that represents the freedom that we once had.
