Hey. I just skipped through the topic pages, so maybe someone has already suggested this, but i have a theory on how they could be doing this.

You mentioned that when looking at a mobile phone screen your eyes can split the Red, Green and Blue colors.
Now i'm not an expert at this, but i believe that all screens, whether it be a TV, PC, phone, etc nowadays work by combining these 3 base colors to form the final image. (as in shining red, green and blue lights independently) So as you mentioned you see Red letters, maybe what they are doing is flashing the subliminal messages only in the Red color channel/range for example?
I'm not in USA, so i don't have CBS, FOX or whatever but someone who is, could try searching for these subliminals by using a red color filter.

Good luck trying to figure this out, i'll keep my eye on this topic (:

I'm waiting for the OP to post the exact details for his glasses RX. What was posted earlier was a run of the mill prescription, there is most likely prism ground into the lenses if the 'eyes were not aligned correctly'. When the whole rx is posted, I'll let you know if there is anything out of the normal with it.

Chances are his binocular vision system is now seeing better than it did- it's highly unlikely anything particular of the glasses are letting him see the advertising better.

As several other posters have mentioned there are other vision aids (polarized filters, red filters, red free filters, etc etc) that can change your perception of how you see something. Vision is only part of the deal- perception is the rest of it. People can have eyes that function to a 20/20 level, but the brains aren't quite there. Likewise, you can have people that never see as good as they can, and when they get the right rx, the perception goes up exponentially.

That sounds like a great idea, not sure if it's feasible but good thinking on your part. Anyone know a way to isolate the channels?

I know the "Enzyte" comercial uses subliminal images.

The one where "Bob" wears the Santa hat.

Look at the woodgrain background where the product is shown. You will clearly see a penis. I noticed this the first time I saw it, that was back in december. Its starnge because its a christmas themed comercial but it has been playing for the past 7 months. anyone else notice this?

so i was thinking, about a week ago, IRobot was being played on tv, FX i believe. COuld that be what they are trying to get us into? Not the cleaning machine, but the movie. It makes more sense to me than the cleaning robot seeing that Will SMith has a new movie (Hancock) out that following weekend. And the flashing KFC and McDonalds would only influence one to grab some grub on the way to or from the movie. Just a though. Has the OP seen any other flashings?

And if the OP takes requests, could you check MTV 1 and 2, VH1 and E! News, Comedy Central, SciFI, Food Network or any national news networks (i watch em all) for Taco Bell flashings? I'm addicted, and this could be the reason...just a curioustity of mine

Can you take some photographs through the eyeglass lenses?

It would be great to post some pictures. What is your "Special Prescription"
Are the lenses treated or polarized or any particular coatings, colorings or enhancements?

If this is on the up and up, then determining how the glasses are doing that would be a most exciting discovery to share here.

As for the iRobot ad, that was my first assumption. Go buy / rent the movie. However, in advertising, it is less likely they'd be showing an advertisement for a 4 year old movie. If they wanted to advertise Hancock, why wouldn't they just write Hancock on the screen? More than likely, it's for the cleaning robots.

I am also interested in seeing if the OP can get a hold of any other channels, and findings. Keep us posted.

listened to a radio show a while back and a lady was telling the host how her husband worked at a tv station and how he was telling her not to watch digital tv. she didn't know why but i thought it was rather weird. will try to remember what show it was and find an archived version of it if possible.

lol this post is 'anonymous' so the folks running ats can refer to me as 62.xx.42.1

The first thing that comes to my mind that I haven't seen posted as of yet:unless I've missed it is, Alan Parsons Project IROBOT I can't recall but isn't there some controvercy about Alan Parson? Also as a note I have what is called a lazy eye.I see double when doing close up work such as reading.I was told that one day I would have to wear glasses called prisoms, very thick, heavy coke bottle type glasses.I also have had a very rare condition called central cerrious.I can tell you that "led" lights are very difficult to read and is a sign that an eppisode is/has occured.

I take no offense at all chris_stibrany, but who said I was 50 ? Anyway I understand what you’re saying. I know the kind of advertising your speaking of is not Subliminal, but this was very different and was subliminal. I’m still under 50 by a margin and retired from the military not too long ago. I still have sharp mind and can still land a Blackhawk at high speed in crosswinds at night in the rain with the best of them.

ok thats understood ^^ i personally hear a lot of stuff like this all the time and literally like 90 times out of a 100 its because they dont understand the technology. regardless of their age. but thanks for clarifying that i wasnt trying to be a prick. just have a lot of experience helping people with technology.

I also have prisms, do you have them now or did you say you'd get them later? I get double vision when I look at things far away... my glasses are shaped thick on the outside and taper in on the inside. I'd like to look out for this stuff on t.v.. However, I've had them for a while and haven't noticed anything. Yours are different glasses I'm sure though since it's for close-up reading.

Pretty interesting though...

and yeah prisms suck in glasses...

Well, I tried setting up a camera today with my glasses in front of them . The Sony digital camera seems to work ok. The problem is that trying to get the glasses to stay steady in front of the lens while holding the camera at the same time. I’m trying some techniques that some of you had mentioned.

My first test. Using one of the lenses of my glasses. I’m trying to find out If I need both my glass lenses or just one lens. Now when holding the glass lens in front of the camera and looking at the Sony 2.5 inch screen, it looks just like when I’m wearing the glasses. Somewhat blurry. ( Remember these glasses are for reading.) I like the Idea of the glasses being in front of the camera lens. There is some eye strain for me, but not as much as when I’m wearing them looking though the Sony 2.5 Screen LCD screen. That part of the test seems ok. I noticed there is a line on the center of the screen. I believe that is from the TV and sets the White Point of the TV Screen. Interlaced and non-interlaced I’m not sure which one the TV has. Well the Camera will pick it up with my glasses in front of the lens. Take the glasses away from the lens and no line in the TV Screen. Strange. but easily explained, as this is what sets the Temperature in Kelvin for the White point, I.e. 5000K 8000K 9000K. other high quality cameras might pick this up well without my glasses.

Test -2 Ghosting Naked eye. I see a ghosting effect when wearing my glasses it looks sort of out of whack Red Green and Blue along the image(s) edges being projected on the TV but the main picture is blurry. I looked though one lens on my glasses, some ghosting not much. I looked though the other a little more noticeable ghosting. Then I put then reading glasses back on to compare. The ghosting is much more noticeable.

I beginning to think I need both lenses in front of the camera at the same time. I tried putting in front of the camera again with each lens. It seems to pick it up but not very good. I’m sure it would pick it up better if somehow I could use both lenses at once. I tried snapping a few photos of the screen, but can’t hold the camera very steady and the glasses at the same time. The photos were not coming out straight not to mention the photos looked really bad. I’m going to look for my tripod, I have one just have to find It. I’m not sure how I would rig up my glasses to the tripod, but I might find a way or just hold them for a test. Trying to catch this just might be near impossible. If I need both lenses of the glasses, I’m not sure what I’m going to do. I’ll have to think up something very crude. A DVD recorder might be better, then I can review the shows, but darn that will take a long time.
The prescription is not with the glasses as I thought it was. But what I posted looks like a lens cut. I’m going to have to get that from the optometrist. Seems like there trying to lock me in to just buying glasses from them only since they hold my prescription. But I’ll get it this week since I have to go back anyway for further evaluation. I asked my wife how clear she seen the advertising. She said It was kind of very blurry to her but could make out the letters, but strained her eyes doing it looking through the glasses. Hmm. just had to ask her.

One more thing I had forgot to mention. It might be important, I’m not sure. When wearing these reading glasses The first thing I noticed is that When looking at something at a distance it looks sort like (V ) not quite but sort puts things a little out of perspective. But when I hold a newspaper or magazine close it seems ok. I’m not sure if that has to do with the lens cut, the perception or both.

I noticed that to with my reading glasses some images seem to have this 3D effect. but not on the glasses I would normally wear.

Subliminal Advertising On CBS TV Network. “ IROBOT” ?
I know My header title sound like A national enquirer headline , but it’s true.

My glasses pickup subliminal advertising on television that cannot be seen by the naked eye. How weird is that ?

Subliminal Advertising On CBS TV Network. I mean like the 1960’s and 1970”s where the message will flash very fast in a matter of seconds in the background or is very hidden but your vision will not pick it up , but it’s said your subconscious will pick it up pick up the message.

Well, I just received these new reading glasses. It took 4 months to get them. Turns out I needed very special lenses because my sight is not exactly lined up, so the optometrist tells me this very rare. So after a very long 4 months I get the new reading glasses and tried them out tonight, well I’m looking up at the TV while reading. The show on is CSI. It looks very blurry with my new reading glasses on . I just wanted to see how they looked at distance not good. Anyway in big 4” letter across the top of the 26” screen was “ IROBOT” flashing during the show. I thought what the heck is that. My wife say’s what? I tell her” the Big Red Letters on the top of the screen flashing real fast “ IROBOT” My wife told me she could not see it. I told her wait a few minutes it might flash again , sure enough it did . I handed her my glasses and said hurry look, she said what is that? Why is it flashing “ IROBOT” then she moved them off fast and looked at the screen and said “ where did go” Then put then on looked though them again and seen “ IROBOT” In big 4” letters then she said it vanished. Then it started again she said. Big red letters flashing “ KFC” , this was getting a little strange the next show was flashing “Mc Donald’s”

So CBS want me to rent IRobot ( by the way CBS owns Paramount Pictures ) head on over to KFC or Mc Donald’s for Family take out over the 4th of July weekend.

I’m going to see if I can catch some political TV Ads with subliminal advertising and post on the board what I see on the screen I bet that will be a fun topic. This strains my eye’s doing this.

I’ll be on the lookout with my new Anti- Subliminal Signal Advertising Glasses.

CBS is the biggest user and abuser of Subliminal Advertising. Check this out .

“CBS Tries 'Branding' Its Shows”
Tries branding It’s Shows ? They Brand Every show from what I have seen tonight.
query.nytimes.com...
The ''creators'' spots also carry an important subliminal message from the network with the oldest viewership. ''These are not older, cigar-chomping men in rocking chairs writing these shows,'' Mr. Schweitzer said.

I went to the CBS website and read all the description of the shows . I could not find it . CBS has them listed as episodes, so I read every description of them that was on their site. I.e. the story line. Etc.. what happens in the show. Since this was aired just recently I thought they might have it. My wife said it was a re-run. So I guess I’ll be going to the DVD rental store to see if they rent them in seasons. But that is a very good Idea. I will let you know If I find it.

I'll try and DVR an episode of CSI on CBS next week, then covert it to a format that I can use. I doubt I'll find anything, as one previous post stated it is probably some new form of subliminal that cannot be detected by a frame-by-frame breakdown. Worth a shot though. Thanks for the info SJE.

I always tell people that every time I come home from work I get an incredible urge to eat fast food. Like clockwork, it happens around 6:30 PM...Could it be because of subliminal advertising?

I was always fascinated by IRobot's Roomba. Regarding the actual messages, could the "iRobot" message be an actual message to any Roombas in the room at the time? Maybe the Roomba itself responds to these subliminal messages.

Who knows? It might go out and get you some KFC or a Big Mac.

Well then, it is only a matter of time. Since this is really important, I'm sure you'll find out how to make the camera look through two lenses at the same time.

Also, try to find a way to have the camera move a little bit after you've focused on it for a little while. Why? The same reason people don't believe in stationary UFOs. Movement will allow a skeptic to have more data to analyze.
