I sleep with the light on because I will admit it I am scared of aliens and being abducted. What happened was I saw this beam of light enter through the roof. There was a triangle of three dots of light, they were a blueish sort of color.

I'm curious, why does just seeing colorful lights immdiately mean aliens are taking you away?

obamafan14, I believe you. I experienced something similar last year with a blue light coming from my ceiling. I was also hearing a sound of high wind, but what made it extremely weird was the sound of chimes that I heard early in the morning. And yes, I was WIDE awake. I also seen what looked like the full moon a week prior to it's full phase right over my house. I also have video of non-electric items around my house making popping noises. Telepathy, and even the family pets being controlled by some means. There's some pretty dark stuff going around, but I seem to think it's by human design. Just go with the flow, I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing, since I'm still here after a year and half.

I'm almost done with college and still afraid of things unless I'm in an urban environment (even suburbia can make me feel somewhat alone). It's not really a bad fear because if I could notice when one monster/ghost/alien/boogieman entered my space (and wake up from sleep) I feel as if I could defend myself or communicate before the fear gave me a heart attack. This is why I feel just fine when sleeping with my gf, though she's a little thing that would only require protecting. She sleeps lightly, so I don't have to be the watchdog
.

Don't let the jerks bother you, OP. You had a freaky experience (if you sleep with the light on, you can often get spots in your vision even with eyes closed) and did what you needed to do to feel safe. My recommendation: step away from sci-fi and ATS for a while. Surf another forum. Watch some romances or something. (I recommend the book and movie Atonement - if you like to read pick up the series so far to A Song of Ice and Fire. It's far from mainstream fantasy and is enjoyable to everyone I've spoken to that's read it.) Your alien fear will seem far away in a matter of weeks, guaranteed.
(My greatest fear = both movies titled "The Omen" - just to share!)

The internet has been plagued by insensitive people for years now, its just a normal personality, we all know there are underlying tones in these peoples lives which we are lucky to have not experienced. "bullying" comes to mind.. Making a mockery of the male adolecense, however, it doesnt last forever and when they make the change they too will critisize the rude people as well. lets just hope they learn from their mistakes eventually.

for the topic at hand, i will be the first to admit that i too have fear when lying down to rest. luckily i have my fiance to share the bed with

but last night she wasnt there, she had to pet sit for friends, and i had to face my fears alone. I have a pitbull bullmastif mix dog who slept in the bed with me for protection against human intrueders, but with aliens they obvisousy can render the dog immobile as well. I recently bought a book called listening to extraterrestrials: tellepathic coaching to communicate with ets. this book helped to come to terms with my fears. its very wise to get involved with SELF empowerment now that you know your afraid of this nightly situation. It dawned on me as well that every ATS'r has to sleep durring the night along with me and that i am not alone.

you may feel ashamed for admitting that you ran to you parents room, but ill tell you one thing, what you do in your own home is YOUR buisness dont let anyone make you feel stupid for being human..im trying to EMPOWER you see.

you should also understand well that your parents too have had scary and fearful nights or situations, notice how they are still alive and well. loving you, keep that in mind, you will make it through.

others have suggested that you stay away from ats, and alien threads, but to be honest your probably gonna want to keep looking anyway, my suggestion is to look and read during the morning hours, that way you can fill your day up with daily activities which may dilute the information from the morning enough to keep you from really getting to feared up.

Ah Gauncents,Its you once again.
I have read a lot of threads here on ats and you allways pop up in some of them with you negative and sarcastic comments.
I feel a lot of anger in you or maybe your just lonely.
Looking at your ats points i think you spend too much time here, maybe you should get out a bit more mate.

its probably a normal thing from reading about a possibly scary topic. that is, to have fearful thoughts about aliens/ghosts/killers/wtfever when you are on your own at night is a normal human thing. the whole lights part, now i wasnt there so i dont know but im willing to bet if you are letting this topic crowd your mind so much that it is impacting your healthy sleep patterns thats not a good thing. so it probably means you dreamed it . what i do when i get in fear phases like that is just read about possibly scary things in the morning or day time. then at night im fine. your mind is the creator of your world, so if you dont want your nights be scary, dont think 'scary' thoughts at night. better said than done i know ^^

Whats with the negativity of certain ATS members lately? It seems to be the usual suspects.

Rude and sarcastic - yep, just what ATS needs.

I'd go out on a limb and say it's a disdain and downright TIREDNESS of 12 year olds on summer vacation throwing out whatever poorly conceived and grammatically butchered CRAP they can come up with to see if they can get a rise out of people who have open minds, ya know, people like the youth of today AREN'T? (Hitler youth AHOY!) But you are correct, we should be neither rude nor sarcastic towards these wayward youths. We should be trying to crack their skulls open to the LARGER truths inherit in our world as they will be running the show when we are old, gray, and unable to defend ourselves. These kids need to realize that NOT ONLY is the free ride almost up, but the REAL terror starts soon.

sometimes i wake up in my bedroom, only im not really awake and cant tell any difference. Its like my astral bedroom. You can be sort of be in an inbetween state where your astral sight is still on and your powerful creative abilities will appear.

Sometimes i can see thru my eyelids at the ceiling.

Look up sleep paralysis. Were you paralyzed? Its the same sort of thing. People have monsters grabbing there feet pulling them from under bed. Ive had some weird experiences. Perhaps astral entities wanting to mess with me.

I thought a logically explanation for the OP was intended.

I don't understand why somepeople just can't relax a little and realize the things they are writing may feel like a real experience to you but sound ridiculous to others. You are coming into a public forum. You are opening yourself up to ridicule.

Can't everyone just humble themselves a little and enjoy it for what's this is all worth. Take what has some value to you from a post and discard the rest. Is this all really enough to get angry about?
