I find taking the objective point of view with noory is the better way to be. Though, I do very much like Art Bell, he was a bit of a sensationalist and I feel it distracted from the guest and the topic being presented.

As far as Ian Punnett goes............... Please remove him from C2C. How that guy got hired and put on air just befuddles me.

Ian if your out there... I am coming for your job

Art Bell was the one and only voice of the night. He had the perfect voice for what he did.

George Noory . . . I fall asleep during his show, more often than not.

Ian Punnet. The radio station is changed the moment I hear his voice.

I love this Art vs George threads

Basically, if a caller came and said something like:

And so there i was in front of an entire army of little green aliens from mars that came to earth to buy some beers on the same bar i was drinking my ass that night..

Art would say: mr. you are soo banned for this show

George would say, amazing.. and, what did you talk about with them? what kind of beer they like the most?

Or how someone else put it before, can't remember where:

Caller: And so that's how time travel is possible
George, amazing, but.. what about the souuul?
Caller, what?
George: will be right back (hangs on the caller with no warning at all)

Ive been an avid listener of C2C for years. While Art Bell was good at what he did, these days, my favorite host is actually George Knapp. I do like George Noory for the fact that he really genuinely cares about his listeners. But Knapp doesnt take any BS from callers and always asks for proof and for them to back up statements usually.

In short, to me, George Knapp is the best C2C host these days. I wish he did more shows monthly and his shows are always usually really interesting.

I am thrilled that Art Bell is going to be back on the airwaves soon.

I doubt C2C will survive it well once ArtBell show grows beyond SiriusXM.

Noory is a wet noodle, and Art Bell and his guests are a welcome return.

I do not like to see these 2 hosts pitted against each other, which seems to be the spirit of this thread. They are both completely different in demeanor, personality and attitude. They are each rather unique, and what they share in common is mainly professionalism.

C2C probably would never have survived when Art left, if it was not for George, and Art picked him as his replacement personally. George took the show to a new level and boosted it's ratings and added many radio stations to it's syndicated subscriptions, as well as fostering the streaming of the shows over the internet and the creation of a fairly decent web site.

C2C is definitively Arts invention and nourished it to a business that could survive him, given the right level of notoriety and subject matter consistency. He was an early founder and adopter of alternative radio talk show format and it took over his life so much, he just had to get away from it for a while. Even then, he dabbled into it when George was taking vacation, because people just plain missed him and enjoyed his way of interviewing and discussing his favorite subjects.

There are plenty of fans of each to keep them both in the game today. Some will favor one over the other, but I will bet that most will listen to both, and enjoy the contrasting ways that they handle their guests and wax about all of the outlandish subjects that keep them both so interesting. So I say give them both the credit they deserve, and support them. I do not see them really in competition with each other, and there are certainly enough guests and material to go around that will only make it better for the listener, as we will get the benefit of more opportunities to hear about all of the Ufology and Paranormal events that they will cover. As for Knapp fans, myself included, I will also bet he will be featured in both camps, and that will be great for both him and us as well.

I guess it is about time to straighten a few things out. I had no input or voice into the choice of George Noory as Host...none. He recently, after Dark Matter was announced dropped my name from mention then he says put it back because it was the right thing to do, nonsense, he did it so he could stop open line callers from being cut off because they kept trying to mention my new show. That is why he announced it. I wanted my name dropped from the show as well as my Saturday shows stopped to be blunt because I hated the direction the show had taken and no longer wanted to be associated with it. George is I am sure a nice guy BUT he has become lazy and does not pay attention. I am sorry to be so blunt but that's how I feel. I hope what little competition I can provide will cause him to up his game. 162

Obviously there's no love between these men, but Noory is downplaying it while Bell is taking it where it hurts. I'm looking at it from a keyhole perspective. Is Bell upset because he dropped out of his own show once too many and couldn't get back in? And so what if Noory doesn't run the show as Bell used to do? And so what if Noory listens patiently to guests spinning tales about Galactic Federations and Atlantean Astrology? If was a radio host I would do the same thing, and try to - as a good lawyer - bring out the best in a guest and not try to destroy him with my personal standard of critical thinking. Just a personal choice...

I agree...knapp is the man that should be on all the time...I now turn off the Noory program when he interviews dream gurus, astrology gurus, end of life gurus, remote viewing gurus, astral projection gurus, etc....they are all first-person stories where nothing can be verified, they all sound vague, and use standard topic phrases and words...plus...Noory agrees with everything they say, as if it's accepted science!!...and who's the guy with the deep voice on Fridays and Saturdays?....all he talks about is how bad the government is, all liberals are enemies...and seems to promote the overthrow of the government, if you want THE-SKY-IS-FALLING interviews and programs, he's your man.

Coast 2 Coast sucks now because every other day its some lowlife "psychic" doing readings based on astrology...which has no basis in reality. The orbital behavior of celestial bodies has nothing whatsoever to do with whether you'll get that new job or if your boyfriend is screwing the secretary. They're just on to hook more customers and promote a book. I'm also sick and tired of John B. Wells' constant right-wing ideology rants and political whining. He might as well go on Rush Limbaugh's show.

I don't hate Noory but I do like George Knapp's style a lot better. I really do not care for John B Wells and his political masturbation.

I like George, listen to him frequently and wish him all the best, but ... The firs time I heard the name "Art Bell" was on my way home from the hospital in Ellsworth, Maine, on a cloudy, Winter night, driving down route 1 to Winter Harbor. I think the show was about "abductions". yeah, it was like that.

I think Art did a great job, he got me hooked on "the coast" and he did well to hand it of to George, but Art will always be my fave, and his voice on a dark and stormy night still makes my skin crawl ! ! ! ! !
