First female four-star general in U.S. history

Good for her.Im glad to see women like this make our military look proud.

WASHINGTON - For the first time in American history a woman has been chosen for promotion to four-star general.


The Pentagon announced Monday that President Bush nominated Lt. Gen. Ann E. Dunwoody to head the Army Materiel Command, responsible for equipping, outfitting and arming soldiers throughout the Army.

Congradulations to her. It is good to see that we as a society have grown so much over so little time. Now if Obama gets elected to chief, then there should logically be no more reason to pull the racist or sex cards in a dispute right?

This slot should of been filled by a woman long ago. Lets face it, for the most part women are more orginized then men, and keep better track of stuff...so why not have a woman in charge of supply/equipment? I think its great.

Having served in a combat MOS and been in the situation of short supplies, or wrong items being sent to us, maybe she can put a boot in the right a--es and make sure our boys in the ditches get EVERYTHING they need, and get it in a hurry!!!!!

Great to see the 'fairer sex' has come a long way since the CIA emancipated them (funded the so called ‘Feminists’ movement’) many years ago. Now this 'role model' can inspire a nation of legal killers. Go Girl!
