This might be connected it might not.

I don't know if any of you have listened to any of the Ben Fulford interviews? Anyway in one of them he touched on UFO's, in it he claims that the Elite of the world have a plan to try and unit the world in a 'war of the world' scenario against the alien threat. But the alien threat is 100% home grown.

Could this be the start? All those baddy alien movies have been prepping the masses for something.

British officials are saying these recent sightings are chinese lanterns...

Here is the article from Fox News

Brit officials say Chineses Lanterns

Apparently there was a wedding and something like 100 of these lanters were released and this was supposedly on the same day and in the same area of the recent sightings...

FYI

While we shouldn't discount the "Chinese Lantern theory" we also should be sceptical of officials using this little story. I can count many times now where this theory has been used to debunk certain incidents. I'm not at all impressed with this theory. While it may be true with a number of incidents, I don't believe that Chinese Lanterns are responsible for every sighting.

I mean, how easy is it for the Government to come out and say don't worry folks, nothing to worry about, it was just another wedding and they released one hundred Lanterns.

Having said that, all sightings that look like Orange blobs, I completely discount, unless they're moving fast and in different positions.

damn the only night i decide to go to bed early an this happens! Usually im always(when im having a cigarette) outside staring in to the sky to see if i can spot anything unusual. Most of the time its just the planes coming into land that fly over the house (i live not to far from the airport). Its defiantly cool how much activity happening around the north west over the past few days though ill definatly be keeping an eye on the sky more just hope it dosn't lead to chain smoking, lol.

If it is E,T their probably curious about the strange lambanana's that have popped up lately

Actually they do, if the wind changes speed or direction so do the lanterns.

Just a warning to people - if you hear of a UFO report over London this coming Saturday it will be 5 lanterns I am planning on releasing during a garden party.
Last time I let some go they made the local paper as guess what.... UFO's.

The Chinese Lantern theory is not so far fetched.

Instead of speculation why not get a hold of some of those lanterns and do a test and video tape it. Then we can compare the test with the so called Alien Spaceship sightings.

OR maybe we can make our own similar to what I did years ago and do a test.
How I made a fake UFO at 10 years old.

Awesome! Can't wait for the results.

Maybe we could get a couple more players and for even more data.

Enhanced Screenshots from the BBC video.
These do look like lanterns to me. But I'm not so sure.
The person didn't say how fast they were going or how they disappeared.

Weddings and parties are trendy events. I'm sure we'll be hearing a lot more of these stories.

If they were alien craft, I'd think the video would be more impressive, but what do I know.

There is definitely something going on in the U.K. There are sightings all over Britain. The amount of UFO coverage in the news and papers is mind boggling. Interesting times ahead. Keep your eyes peeled folks.

Your idiocy aside, I must agree with this part of your post. Even 1 year ago there would be no reporting of UFO incidents, now we have reports everywhere. I'd almost swear it was Robbie Williams who kicked it off in the newspapers, it's only since the gutter press started to ridicule him for his UFO interest that they have been reporting on all these other sightings, could have just been coincidence of course.

Or maybe the press have cottoned on to how many visitors this site gets and know the subject is growing in popularity.

Good job the UFO's didn't land in Liverpool, they would have had their alien hubcaps stolen by the time they got back to their ships, or found them up on bricks...

I love Scouser's really , me Nan's one..

Ancient, tired, boring stereotypes that have little, to no basis in reality.

Well done, you did a good job there, mate!

Actually that's a pretty lame statement, Ufo's have been mentioned in the media for years, Robbie williams is just one celebrity amongst hundreds who have claimed to seen Ufo's... Almost once or twice a month in my local paper there seems to be some mention of Ufo's, I think you need to stop dishing out the insults and maybe open your eyes a little.

But bearing in mind Speak or now known as John Lennon Airport is not that far away and there is alot of commercial aircraft over Liverpool. What would be cool if a UFO appearedd over one of Liverpool's icons such as the Liver Buildings. Now that would be impressive.

Speke, airport mate. Apologies for my pedanticism.

And sorry, sorry, sorry for the one line post, plleeeaaasseee don't exterminate me!!

Ahhh! Ha! You can't now, I've done more than one line.

Suckers

It seems to be the new "excuse" for UFOs - lanterns. Maybe this might be the case here, but it seems to be wheeled out far too often.

Its also good to see a few fellow north-western UKers here

hmmm... (thinking)...
well I have just checked back to see if there's been any new sitings or similar reports from anyone new, and frankly I am amazed by number of people talking about Chinese Lanterns... WHAT??
well..
as a very rational, mature and down to earth person, with a reasonable amount of intelligence, I can only say that the object myself and my neighbour (a rational, professional in his late 50's) witnessed over Worthing on Monday 22 June (see earlier post) was most definitely not a lantern..
unless, that is, Lanterns can be clearly seen at a height above that of commercial airline jets.. what we saw was of a size so clearly visible at such a height that we reckoned it must have been a pretty large object (perhaps 3 or 4 times bigger than a passenger carrying hot air balloon?). And how could we see something so far away, which was so brightly glowing orange, in broad daylight, on a bright sunny day, if it was a lantern lit by a small candle??
Not to mention the movements it was making, quick backwards and forwards , then stopping perfectly still several times, then moving AGAINST the wind and out over the sea before disappearing in a nano second..
all this in completely clear blue skies.. in broad daylight (5pm)! Hmmmm, Chinese Lantern? I really do not think so!

Oh, by the way, having never posted on anything about UFO's before, nor been a UFO spotter/devotee/fanatic at any point in my life before, nor taken much interest in such matters previous to my personal experience on Monday, I have been doing lots of research today.. and found this.. check it out.. before you close your mind totally with lantern theories :

Hi another uk chap here surrey. been a reader for ages only just started posting.
someone i knew started doing these lanterns a couple of years ago and it spawned ufo sightings in the local newspapers. I think that this sighting was the lanterns but i doubt that it would explain the police choppers sighting where they followed it and had to leave because they were running out of fuel, hopefully it will start a trend though where the media will be telling these stories and keeping the thoughts in everyones minds, especially as previous posters in this thread have stated like the vatacan statement etc. UFO sightings have never had it so good over here ! with regards to mainstrem attention.

peace chaps and stop flaming each other !
