Australian researchers are developing "solar powered" uniforms ... would be a God send to the poor operator lugging around the spare radio batteries!


Army uniforms could be fitted with solar panels to allow soldiers to generate power in the field and charge batteries for radios, phones and laptops under a project being funded by the Defence Force.

Lol this sounds cool. It would be even cooler if the systems could be hooked up to the soldier's body give them an energy boost

does not sound cool at all... its hard enough wearing cavlar, flak jaket, full cammies with all the attachments let alone having solar panel's
